Well I took it apart about 4 months ago and it is a separate piece so I don’t see why not. I run a delete plate right nowThe wheel stud? Is it replaceable on the carrier?
Already rocking those 35s. I don’t see why the stock one wouldn’t hold a 35Possibly skip that one and get a good carrier like:
TeraFlex 4838910 JL/JLU Alpha HD Adjustable Spare Tire Mounting Kit Black
Or whatever you choose as those factory ones are a bad deal and if you plan on going bigger you'll need something anyways
Just a stray thought
Here’s what I need
Well that’s very nice of you! Thank you for the opportunity but I just bought a new tire carrier looool….
And here I thought I'd tossed all this stuff out when I changed my tire mount, turned up on top the tool cart this morning - lol
Price - Free if you want it - brand new, unbent take-off on a '21 built less than a year ago - 35's might work on the factory mount but 37's certainly do not, at least not on an rhd unit
Want it ?
The stock carrier is designed for the factory wheels backspace dimension. Most aftermarket wheels have less backspace, so that results in the spare riding further away from the tailgate. The affects of a given weight are amplified when that weight is canterlevered. On top of that, if the spare isn't pressed firmly into the rubber stoppers on the gate, there will be increased movement that may be damaging over time.Already rocking those 35s.
