I bought my used 2019 JL Sahara in August of last year. In December my check engine light came on and it was a fuel sensor problem that warranty fixed. This past weekend it came on again about 15 min after I went through a car wash. I purchased the FIXD car code thing and it tells me it's a P0441 Evap System Purge Flow.

I've scheduled it for service, and since it's an exhaust issue I can't clear the code myself.

Anyone else have check engine light issues with your JL? Mine is the 4cyl Turbo. I'm not much of a gearhead, so I literally know very little about engines.

Check gas cap is on good. That can make that code and easy fix. Clean rubber seal to make sure its tight.

Drive it some to see if light goes off.

Yeah, I checked the gas cap to see if it was tight. Also filled up while I was at it. LOL

I didn't want to have to pay the standard $130 min fee to the dealer just to have them tell me it's nothing.

It's EVAP system related (gas tank vapor). I'm surprised you can't clear the code.

Make sure you aren't "topping off" when you gas up, if it comes back, I'd assume it could be a line issue or a bad valve.

According to to the FIXD website, federal regulations don't allow them to clear codes when it's exhaust related. ?‍♂ That disappointed me, it was the whole reason I bought the contraption.

Is that the only code in it? It’s probably a bad purge valve if so.

Did you ever figure out what the issue was?
Mine just threw this code and I checked the obvious gas cap. I cleared it with JScan and it came back on after 1/2 tank of driving.

Yeah it ended up being a warranty repair, two bad solenoids on the fuel purge cannister I believe.

Did that fix your issue? My P0441 keeps coming back on.
Like you, I didn't want to pay the standard diagnostic fee to the dealer if I don't have to.

Using aftermarket parts,

CP796 Vapor canister purge solenoid
LDP14 Evap System Integrity Module

I’d replace those two. They have a very high failure rate. Standard is probably the oem for Mopar, they have been in the past.

Thanks. Those parts are cheaper than paying the dealer for a diagnostic...I'll start with those.
