I got this code popping up, just over 10,000 miles on my diesel. Should I remove my Derringer, PedalMonster, and IDash guage before I go to dealership? I don’t want them to say that’s the reason for the check engine light.

Yes, that error is that the particulate mater sensor has lost communications.

So anything plugged in not factory could be a red herring that slows down getting it fixed.

Make:Jeep
Code:U12A3
Definition:LOST COMMUNICATION WITH PM SENSOR
Description:The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) does not receive a message from the Particulate Mater Sensor over the Datalink circuits.

Cause:
  • LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE
  • FUSED IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUIT OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
  • FUSED IGNITION SWITCH CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
  • GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
  • HIGH DATALINK (+) CIRCUIT OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
  • LOW DATALINK (-) CIRCUIT OPEN/HIGH RESISTANCE
  • HIGH DATALINK (+) CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
  • LOW DATALINK (-) CIRCUIT SHORT TO VOLTAGE
  • HIGH DATALINK (+) CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
  • LOW DATALINK (-) CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
  • NOX SENSOR 1/1
  • NOX SENSOR 1/2
  • PARTICULATE MATTER SENSOR
  • DEF HEATER CONTROL UNIT
  • POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)

Thanks. I guess I have to undo all that.
