Hi all. I wonder if this is an issue with 2024s. I have a brand new JL Sport. Check engine light came on at 500 miles. Dealer scanned said it was all “high voltage codes above threshold”. They checked charging system, grounds, batteries, alt, wiring. Everything checked out. Cleared codes. Said everything checked out well and amounted to a software glitch. So, I drove it for half an hour - check engine is back on. Sigh. Any ideas or anyone experiencing this?

Is it a 4xe or ICE? First thing I would check is the battery connection. Make sure the terminals are tight.

It’s just a stock Wrangler sport. The shop checked all connections, ground, tested batteries, alternator etc. everything checked out. Sigh….

Thats not what trste was asking. He asked if YOU had verified. You can never know if a job was done right unless you are checking. How hard would it be to pop the hood and check?

"Software glitch" translates to "We have no clue what happened". Keep pestering them or try another dealer. You're well within warranty and they need to fix it. You might also want to get a multimeter and see exactly what voltage is being put out. The dash voltage display is only semi accurate.

Also if you haven't done so already, open your fuse box and make sure every fuse and relay is fully inserted. The factory is notorious for partially inserting fuses.

Also update your Vehicle(s) in your profile with year & trim. We do reference that when responding. It still says you have a 2018 JL.

I don't think that would result in high voltage, only low voltage/brownouts.
