Hey all, I’m attempting to chase down a shimmy when hitting bumps on the front end.

Recently I did a TSB for trackbar 02-003-19 at the dealer; and I’m 50/50 on if the feeling i’m getting is added weight from a steel bumper, or if the stealership torqued the track bar incorrectly.

Would added weight up front cause sort of an unsettling of the front end to shimmy over bumps? Approx 20-35mph.

Or is it likely the track bar? Is there a proper way of installing such as installing when the axle isn’t fully dropped but rather when the weight of the jeep is on it? Much like when you install control arms?

Since you had it done at dealership, I would check it. Have someone turn the wheels back and forth while you watch the track bar . There should be zero lateral movement at both connecting points. If it even barely moves, then I’d check torque, if torqued correctly, and it still has movement, then scrap it and get an adjustable aftermarket track bar.
