Changing differential covers

i am changing the diff covers from stock to Motobilt. Would you recommend spraying brake cleaner into the diff to clean it out? And I was going to put in full synthetic 75-90 in the front and 75-140 in the rear. Does that sound accurate?

Probably wouldn't hurt to start with the inner surface as clean as possible. I'd just use the recommended gear oil. Did you paint the covers, or go natural?
