I was going to be "that guy" and ask for a promo code for us forum folks but c'mon! at that price point? Not even worth the fight. Great product! This isn't my first one, and I'm sure won't be the last.

Order placed and should be home by Sunday! Thank you @salex for listening to us JL owners
Good feedback. There will be critics talking about the price of plastic and what they think they should pay. The big picture is that we are providing value with a solution to a problem. Not just a few pieces of plastic. We have a significant upfront investment in the tooling required to produce the parts. We also manufacture in the US which has a cost, but is core to quality and company values.

The JL divider organizer is also a first for us. You may have noticed "patent pending" on the parts. We missed the boat on our typical divider system when the first design came out for the Tacoma in 2012. The new dovetail joining system in the center console creates a new opportunity for a number of reasons.

Great to see positive feedback after months of waiting.

I am interested in your product. The lower organizer is fine and I will likely purchase. However it doesnt seem that over the last few months you have listened to the feedback around the top portion. I think you could have easily hollowed out or made an indention along the side to route wires to the factory exits. - This is OCD and detail specific.

1. I dont want wires running out the front of the glove box it looks unorganized in general and its in the way. The factory exits allow the cord to run down in between the seat easily.

2. The reason they designed those slots is because the console closes flesh and with your design the wire will be pinched and you cant control the length of the wire that is in the console and or out without opening it.

The led light. You could have easily improved the top buy making the front facing area of the top organizer that covers the led light cut out so the light shines through regardless if the trey is in or not in.

- These seem like obvious improvements that make a 3 star product a 5 star product and I believe you will eventually revise it or someone will create a solution that is better and addresses the above issues. Because of that I will wait to purchase.

I wish you had taken that feedback into consideration.

Agreed, I do believe @salex has opted to do the top organizer the way they want it and pretty much ignored what JL owner's here have suggested in regard to the design of the top.

I voiced my concern about this to Salex in pm's, a couple of times.

I just can't understand how they can be so spot on in regard to the bottom organizer and so a muck lets say in regard to the top one.

Unfortunately, I do believe that Salex will learn the hard way, that they should have listened to prospective buyer's in regard to the top organizer offering.

I already have told Salex, to count me out on the top organizer, as it is designed...
  • No way will wires protruding out of the front of the console work for me.
  • A wire dangling near my right hand/forearm, right near the shifter and near the cup holders.
  • No way will I be cutting / carving a hole in an organizer, so the LED light can do it's job.
I do encourage other's here to take a good look at the bottom divider, it is terrific! .....

@Rhinebeck01 i did the same with the Gibson guy. His first “holster” idea was awesome. Then he goes and changes it completely, adds a flap etc even though a whole bunch of folks loved the first edition just minus the plaque. Oh well saved me some money.

Well, I left a 5 Star review on Amazon in regard to the Center Console Organizer. Indeed, this organizer is a positive addition to the JL.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...le_o02__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1#customerReviews

I encourage other's to post a review at Amazon regarding this offering.

@salex should be rewarded lets say, for listening to us in regard to the bottom organizer.

Also, it's a good thing to get the word out to other JL owner's, that indeed, this particular Salex offering is terrific.... and that the price point is where it should be.

@Rhinebeck01 agree with your thoughts above.

@salex its not too late to make one more revision to your top trey organizer. I know its a little more work, but I think in the long run it will save you cost and also will gain your brand more 5 star reviews as I see plenty of JL owners giving this 3 stars and providing the exact same comments as you are seeing above. - Which the combination of the 2 above will probably make a large difference in the number of these you sell. Not to mention your brand is "OCD" and these misses are likely going to annoy people who arent even obsessive. Regardless I would love to see these 2 updates to this product. I think its a great business decision for you and a great upgrade for your customers. It would turn me into a buyer and an advocate. Keep me posted.

I commented on the cord routing last week. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/center-console-organizer.18167/page-8#post-562255

Molds to make the parts have been in process since mid December and 95% complete. Several attempts were made to route the cords out the side and maintain the structural integrity of the tray. Notching the tray in the middle on the sides would cause the tray to be weak. Adding a wall around the notch was not possible because the upper OEM tray nests with the new tray.

I appreciate all the feedback. Hopefully members will see overall value in the tray design.

I dont buy your response. "Tray to be weak" - really? So it would not be able to hold pencils and change? Come on man, this is a very poor excuse. I would have been more pleased with "we missed this one." However to make up BS reasons why this wouldnt work is BS. Both of these things could have been easily implemented.

Installed mine yesterday! This is such a great product at such an affordable price point. Shame on Jeep for not including this OEM, but great work in correcting this error with a solid product!

I have to agree with the feedback concerning the upper tray. I am probably going to pass on that. Which is too bad because I think your solution for the lower is spot on.

@jedisrus

Yup, I agree the lower is "spot on" . My guess is the majority here will pass on the upper organizer, as you and I, and many other's here are.

I have so many questions about all that stuff you have in there... but I'm afraid I may get answers. ;)

Puts my little screen wipe, Leatherman, & Altoids mints to shame. Anarchy without organization.
