Did some searching on the web, and this forum, and couldn’t find anything related to this with JL’s. Did find some issues with JK’s. 2021 JLUR 3.6, 8 sp. 600 miles into ownership Jeep threw a CEL p0365 and service stop/start system on EVIC about 100 miles from home after fueling up. Jeep ran normal the rest of the way back. No rough idle, no starting issues, normal acceleration and mpg’s. Cleared the code when I got home, as it was running normally. Didn’t pop up again until this morning, now 1600 miles. Tried to remote start and nothing. Got in, fired right up and threw a CEL and service S/S on EVIC. Pulled the code and same p0365. Again, ran normally all day. I’m finding it hard to believe if a cam shaft position sensor was fouled up it would run normally. One thought I keep having, is the main battery was dead when I went to test drive it in February. Dealership swapped main battery, but unsure and doubt, they replaced the aux battery. Could a bad aux battery be causing these errors? I know that battery is responsible for running some electronics. I do plan on dropping by the dealership in the morning, but just wanted to see what all your thoughts were. Thanks!

Did you get any resolution to this? I just bought a new, left over, 2020 and have 2000km on it. I got that code this weekend and a message saying the auto start/stop was disabled. I’ll have to take it to the dealer this week.

Totally forgot to update...it has happened a few more times but no rough running. Had it pop up right before I took it to the dealer and then cleared itself on the next start up. Dealer looked into it (un-married the Tazer before taking it in), but found nothing stored in the computer. Said the only way they could diagnose is if it was doing it for them.

If you want my honest option, I attribute it to myself and JL Tazer mini. My firmware was four updates old. My JL was built in October of 2020. The firmware I was running was from April 2020. I updated the firmware to the most recent update and it’s only come back once in the last month. If the tazer isn’t plugged in it never happens. If it’s plugged in it happens occasionally, with no foul engine running. My guess, there is a communication error between the SGW, the Tazer and PCM. All of my vehicle software is up to date, according to the dealer. Not sure if there is something different in the 2021 software that the Tazer is messing with. I only use the Tazer for my 37’s and to disable TPMS. If it keeps happening I’ll bite the bullet and have the dealer flash the computer for 37’s and ditch the Tazer.

Not sure if that helps or not.

Keep me updated if the dealer finds anything. Maybe there is an actual issue? Jeep runs fine even with the code, so I don’t know?

Sounds good. I have a Tazer and just use it for the 37" tires as well. I just updated the software to the latest version a couple weeks ago when I bought it so I hope that's not the issue. I'll have to make an appointment to take it in next week. I'll give an update when I get it back from the dealer.

Took it to the dealer this week and they replaced one of the Cam Position Sensors. Haven't driven it much since but hopefully that's the end of the issue. Probably worth taking in since it will be under warranty. I did remove my tazer before I took it in.

Thanks for the update. It hasn’t popped up in the last month. If it does, I’ll take it in again. Hopefully it stores the code. Keep me updated if it comes back.

Ok, so mine popped back up again last night. Again no funky running, issues starting up or mpg loss. Unmarried Tazer and it went away. Left it overnight plugged Tazer back in and it came back. Cleared code and it stayed off until the next start up then code came back. Over and over again on every start up with Tazer plugged in. Unmarried Tazer again, and code is gone. My issue is definitely Tazer related. There is obviously some communication issue between the SGW and PCM with Tazer plugged in. Firmware on Tazer is current. Frustrating, but it is what it is right now.

That’s weird. Maybe reach out to the people who make the tazer and see what they recommend

I just got code P0365. I am wondering would this have anything to do with me disabling the auto stop/start system? A while ago I removed negative off battery feeding aux battery and pulled fuse out. I know my aux battery was toast and I didn't feel like replacing it, plus typically don't use ESS anyways. My wife has told me we have had a couple ESS related warnings come up on the dash recently. Otherwise jeep is running fine. Any thoughts or should I start w/ changing the CPS? Thanks!
