Cargo Drawer Build

Hi there,

wanna show you the actual status quo of my plans to build a cargo drawer.

What has been done till now?

- base plate, mounted to the OEM cargo net points
- left and right side panels with small storage compartments
- back wall to protect the seats and gain some storage between cargo drawer and seats
- foldable cargo plate that can handle about 100 - 120kg
- 12V 160Amp power supply and dual USB 3.0 charger

What still has to be done?

- drawer on the left for camping kitchen
- drawer on the right for some needed stuff
- airline system for fridge on cargo plate
- cargo net beween seats and cargo area to protect driver and passenger

Well, as the car is used for hunting, I had to built a rifle holder, locatd at the rear roll cage.

What do you guys think?

I am planning the drawouts at the moment but I am not sure either to go with:

1. Side mounted slides

or

2. bottom mounted slides


Maybe some can give any input of one or two of both options?

Nice work dude! I really respect people that care to do quality work. Looks well thought out and good craftsmanship. I'd personally go with the side slides, they leverage better when the drawer is fully open. Go with top shelf slides, not the shit at Home Depot.

By the way:

This was the final solution, without drawes, but with airline rails instead.

Fitted all my needs as daily / hunting car.

And was a good solution for overland storage too.

Not as quite as comfortable as a drawer, but more than okay.
