I don't remember it being this much money, for just the sprayer, but maybe I got it during an end of the season sale or something. ?‍♂

Like most of these types of things, the amount of soapy water it pushes out is based on wherever you lives water pressure.

Also in case you didn't know, Walmart also sells chemical Guy stuff. Though I do use some chemical guys stuff, I haven't used this one specifically. Seems to have decent reviews and it's being recommended to be purchased with this sprayer linked above.

I'd have to imagine the ceramic coating that this stuff supposedly produces is probably minimal at best, but if you like spending money, probably not a bad brand to be buying.

Personally I'll stick with my dish soap, $3 for that little bottle and it's lasted me 2 and 1/2 years. Also too you can use the Dawn dish soap for more than just washing your car, it's great for applying vinyls and all sorts of other cleaning mixtures you might want to make.

So everyone is mentioning a foam canon? I am not familiar with that. Can that be purchased at Walmart or does someone recommend one? I appreciate all the inquires and will get whatever is needed., Chemical guys has a website and you buy directly from them or Amazon? I only wash my vehicles by hand but they just don't seem to lather like they used to. I have tried lots of different products from Walmart but willing to try any of these . I seen a guy on here and his vehicle was lathered all up! So he must have used some kind a foam canon, Never seen one!

Thanks for all the advice
Chris
You can buy from them directly or from their Amazon store. If you sign up for their e-mail list, they send out promos all the time. You can build bundles on their site that end up being discounted. I have one of their foam cannons that I use with a small electric power washer. Works great. But they sell some that you can just attach to a garden hose as well.

Dish soap is going to strip your waxes/sealants/coatings and your clear coat will eventually be shot.

Here in AZ I suspect that more vehicles are painted-faded by dish soap than the sun. Everything that makes a superior dish soap makes them unsuitable for paint jobs. Look at it this way: I guess you could use Ivory bar soap on your hair instead of shampoo, but why would you? Same thing.

I did exactly that, during basic training, for the sake of field expediency. ;)

Yes, in regular circumstances, the product intended for the job at hand is usually the best choice.

Chemical Guys with foam cannon and Snowball soap. It sticks better than the rest according to them. I went in to buy one and walked out spending $300. Now I want more stuff...
If you can find an actual Chemical Guys store, I would walk in and ask questions because you might think you're buying the perfect thing when in reality they have something different than what you thought you needed. I also didn't know the microfiber sponges were color coded to help from getting your stuff mixed up.
As others here have stated, I would stay away from dish soap. I used Dawn once and I had nasty spots until I washed it again. Looked worse than it did dirty.

If you go the foam cannon route with CG, they make them for electric and gas pressure washers that work best for each.

Bucket. insert washing soap. add water with a spray hose = foamy water
Wet car with hose. wash down car with foamy soaped microfiber towel.

As others mentioned Chemicl Guys and Adams. You can add Griots Garage, P&S and Obsessed Garage to that list also. They all make great products. Locally Walmart has been selling CG products but my local Walmart has reduced its selection greatly. Not sure why. Use to be like 5-6 shelves 3ft wide and now it's a 1/4 of that. Some auto parts stores sell some Adams and Griots products.

Amazon has many foam cannons cheap to upper end. The MTM mentioned is considered top shelf. I use that and a cheaper Amazon one. Amazon one for wheel cleaner and MTM for wash soap. P&S Brake buster is awesome for wheel and tire.

Foam cannons are great but not necessary. A 2 bucket hand wash gets the job done. Foaming will help reduce scratching/marring/swirls though and gives a better washing experience.

Suds come from having enough soap. But you can also get to much soap and have to rinse longer to remove it from vehicle surface. Follow the makers directions.

Pressure washer is a game changer. Made this change about 4 yrs ago and don't ever plan on not having one for washing vehicles. I've hand washed my vehicles for 40yrs and hate that it took me 35 to know about foam cannon.

To help with water spots use an electric leaf blower to remove bulk of water before drying. Also use drying aid spray on product like P&S Bead Maker or OG Deatil Spray.

Towel types, microfiber, and wash mitts also are a factor in how well washing goes for you.

If you really want a great washing experience use a well tested and vented ceramic spray on top of a good wax or do a full ceramic coating. Or go all out and cover Jeep in PPF.

Fellas,
Good stuff! I have a pressure washer and will look for a foam cannon. I have always hand washed my vehicles but the products do not seem to foam as they used to. Been washing for 50 plus years. I enjoyed reading all the information and glad I signed up! The Jeep is the easiest and quickest vehicle to wash! I have had many sports cars and trucks. I just figured someone knew the latest good products. Money is not the issues but I don't wanna buy a $300 dollar cannon LoL. I will probably Clay bar it and put a good coat of cermaic on it when finished. Clay bars are game changers and you can really see the difference on a white vehicle. Almost looks gray to white! Easy to use too!
Thanks Again
Chris

I find this subject fascinating when it comes to Jeep owners because there is an amazing spectrum of differing opinions. On one end, there are folks who are practically religious about the ritual they go through to clean their Jeep (i.e. the soaps, the microfiber or chamois, the waxes, the specific order of operations, etc). On the other end, those folks who intentionally don't wash their Jeep. For them a "wash" means driving it through a creek or puddle or leaving it out in the rain.

I'm somewhere in the middle, I guess. I don't like the Jeep to get too dirty, but when it is I'm fine with the local touch-less car wash (wash/rinse/dry only, no waxes or other add-ons) and wiping it down with a microfiber towel afterward to keep it from getting too spotty.

When I think the plastic fenders and bumpers are fading too badly, I'll likely do a Cerakote treatment to restore them.
