My Jeep is at a local mechanic that deals with newer trucks and the electronics in them. He gave me a call and told be there is a third can buss block under the carpet behind passenger rear seat. So he is going to check that one out also. And he is trying to track down the power steering issue. These guys have been working with me and not against me. The block is CSBC ON THE DIAGRAM.

So if water gets to this block. Which I think is what happened. So check it out. And try to water proof every connector you can find on these jeeps. They changed the recipe.

Update. Shop got back to me. They tested everything and it's cleared to go. The Mechanic mentioned the power steering module, which is on the pump. But since I have a rebuilt pump, I will Waite to see. If it does pop back up, they will replace it with my new pump. :fingerscrossed:

The scoop on power steering pump. If you have oversized tires this is an issue for your pump. It will over heat. Shut off the pump and toast your CanBuss. To alleviate this issue. It is recommended to put an intercooler on the pump. This will keep the module from tripping out from the heat. And from sending a surge to the canbuss and smoking the resistors. Something Jeep should have addressed in the beginning.

Thanks for the update! I've only had my JLUR off-road a few times so far, but most every trail I get a power steering over temp warning. Still has stock 35" tires on it. Seems like this is something Jeep really (really!) needs to address. In my case it usually goes off after a short cool-down period (few minutes). Hopefully it doesn't fail out on the trail... Never seen it on-road (though still <1k miles on it).

There is a after market actual power steering belt driven pump made PSC. It 1600 bucks. But a new Mopar pump is 900 to 1100. And more from a dealer. I may look at that route. Loose a little hp but won't be stranded.
