Or like coolant it is also complicated for a rookie like me? ☹

Brake fluid is a very simple DIY with 2 people.

Not saying the ABS method isn't the right wat to do things, but I recently replaced both front hoses. The ABS module on the Jeep flows freely so I was able to bleed most of the air out by gravity. Then did the two man method and got a little bit of additional air out. The Jeep was one of the easier systems to bleed IMO.

Use a Motive Power Bleeder, and you can do it yourself. It uses pressure to push fluid through the reservoir and out the bleeder. IMO, way better than Mityvac or 2-person method pump/pump/hold. I recommend the "dry" method with the Motive bleeder (don't fill the bottle with fluid). The only caveat is not to let the fluid reservoir on the Jeep go empty.

You won't be able to flush the ABS pump if Jeep still calls for cycling the pump via scan tool (unless you have the ability to do that).

I flushed my XR's brakes at two years and the fluid at the calipers was surprisingly dirty. Worth the effort, absolutely.

Having done the two-person method and used the Mity, this looks interesting and useful. Oh, and the one person bleed for the motorcycles.

Which kit number did get to fit the Wrangler JL?

Of course I posted that link...and I thought it was obvious (Look up 18-25 Jeep Wrangler, duh!) Jeep doesn't appear in their make/model selector right now.

The adapter I had for my JL is the 1103, looking back through my receipts:
https://www.motiveproducts.com/products/chrysler-dodge-mopar-strange-adapter

I think you may be able to buy the pump/bottle separately, or with a generic adapter. I use it on all my vehicles and looks like I originally ordered it with a GM adapter and then bought the 1103 when I got my Jeep.

Oh, and I have an email sitting in my inbox from them. 20% off the entire site right now, use EOM20 at checkout.
