Brake fluid change - question

Would you trust having your brake fluid changed anywhere? (Like Jiffy Lube) I’m wondering because of the regenerative braking system. I’ve never owned a hybrid before - I never would have hesitated with my older Wranglers but with my new girl I’m a little hesitant. She runs like a gem and I’d hate to screw her up trying to save a few bucks.

Nope... would never ever trust a "quick change" place for anything. They use the cheapest garbage, idiots are hired off the street, and they make commision off of everything they sell you. Pay the extra few dollars and get the dealer to do it so you can hold them accountable.

Thank you for the advice! I had to do a quick oil change before a long trip and couldn’t get into the dealership in time. However, that was at a place I knew. The guys there wanted to change my brake fluid and I still said no. I wanted to wait for the dealership. Yet, it made me think about it as a whole, so I thought I’d ask here.

I’d test the brake fluid before changing; May on need it.

You can purchase one of these to test the brake fluid.

Regen braking is an electric motor function. Still normal hydraulic vacuum powered. Vacuum is provided by an electric pump.

Nothing special, but your call on if you trust a quick shop to do a flush.
