Forgive me if it's common knowledge but are you implying all manuals are in the same delay as me? I've read both yes & no to this question on other threads

I'm basing that statement mostly off of all the autos I noticed being shipped/ordered since production started, not a lot of dealerships are ordering them so I was guessing it would be difficult to find a manual on a lot in exchange for your late delivery. The production schedule doesn't point out a difference between scheduled builds based on transmission, so I'm guessing there's no difference, just not seeing a lot of manuals showing up anywhere over the last few weeks and a few mentions of other members mentioning having to wait on their manuals. It seemed to be a trend regarding manuals, that's all.

If you want a manual, you’re best sticking with your order. I was originally going to wait and get a stock JLUR manual off the lot. A little research (here mostly) and I found out manuals are very hard to find, especially optioned the way you want. I also, erroneously, thought you couldn’t negotiate the price of a special order. My Jeep is now within a week or so of being delivered (ordered 1/2). Out of curiosity I’ve looked for other manuals and they are indeed very difficult to find. If you want a 2 door, your heavily discounted Sahara could be quickly sold for a substantial profit and applied to a 2-door Rubicon. Or you could buy a 2-door Sport-S and apply the profit to modification so.

33k for a JLU Sahara seems like a great deal already but a fully loaded one at 33k? Seems fishy. Sounds too good to be true but I don’t know enough of your story to pass that judgment. Good luck, hope you do get it at that price.

Hi guys,

I'll spare the sob story as much as I can but I feel the need to share my story & ask for advice/help.

I ordered a 2-door JK Sahara back in August 2017. Long story short, the dealer never submitted the order and told me about 2.5 months later.

They negotiated for me to get a 2-door Sahara JL which we all know doesn't exist. This caused another 4 week delay.

I am now on my 3rd order that was placed 11/27/2017 for a JLU Sahara (manual). It is still in MF'ing C-status & doesn't look like it will get to me before end of April.


Why the f*** did I ever order this Jeep? Because I love the brand, love the car and really wanted it for winter LOL.

Question for everyone: What would you do today if you were in my shoes?


Disclaimer: I have a loaded JLU Sahara for $33k (long story, but it's a pretty decent deal I don't want to lose out on)

I would order from another dealer ...ASAP

Dude just search for one on a lot somewhere in stock ... hop in it and make a deal... this isn’t rocket science. You sound desperate. That type of posture isn’t good for negotiating or for picking up girls lol.

33K for loaded Sahara JLU?! That in itself would have me scratching my head. I don't think you can get a stripped down Sport for that! There are definitely manuals being produced and delivered. There was a special order that arrived at my dealership when I was looking- I believe it was no more than 2 months after it was ordered. Seems a little strange... especially since they messed up several times. I agree with the other responses, search for one at another dealer and go out and grab it!

So my patience is finally paying off.

Hit KZ status yesterday and it was shipped today with a dealer delivery ETA of April 1 at the latest. My build was updated to include the missing options the dealer lied about (THANK YOU @JeepCares) and now I am just patiently waiting to go pick up the Jeep!

1 last battle with the dealer will include how he handles the 500$ msrp increase (I know about the codes and the policy for price protection) & my Jeep Brand incentives (1000 cash bonus) but this would just be icing on the cake at this point.

Just a quick update for anybody that showed interest before!

Pretty sure the MSRP increase will be the least of your worries after your battle to get a loaded Sahara for 33k. Keep us updated!

I don't understand this thought process. I understand the feeling but if you walk away and purchase elsewhere you are going to pay it anyways. Does this mean you would walk away from purchasing a Jeep JL entirely and not look at buying any in the future?

No, I would be giving a more reliable, trustworthy dealership my money. As of right now, it sounds like this dealer has done nothing to earn his business but give empty promises.

What options increased? I know there was incorrect information for pricing when somebody chose the heated seat option with a manual vs automatic. Was this the option or was it something else?
