It's incredibly common to camp in areas that are under various forms of fire bans.
Don’t laugh but Dumont Dunes, California had fire restrictions. You are literally surrounded with sand and absolutely no vegetation but since Inyo County had a ban in place, Dumont was included. I giggled the whole time at the reality of absurdity but hey, it eliminates someone from saying, “But we were allowed a fire just 60 miles South”…..Yup, where you check the Fire Map as casually as you would check the weather report.
I'm on board: I have three 1 pounder refillables and an 11 pounder.Agreed, although convenient, its pretty wasteful when refillable versions of the small tanks are available, and you can refill at home with a $60 kit.
