Bumper

I was walking through a parking lot yesterday and noticed that a 2020 Willys version had this molded bumper section (circled in Red) attached to it. The rest of the front stock bumper looks exactly the same as the one on my JLUSA except for this one piece. I kind of like the look of it as it fills the gap between the bumper and fender flare, but I can't seem to find any information if it is an add-on, a stock item just for the Willys version, etc. Thanks for any input!

Stock for the sport jeeps. Removable if you remove the 7 screws. Covers the fog lights and wire harnesses. Made for the EU market where bumper openings are way more strict than the USA

That is correct: that is the Sport bumper, and the standard bumper in Europe, where they cannot have the tires exposed.

Why FCA makes this bumper standard on Sport while not on Sahara or Rubicon in N.A., that I do not know.

This whole thing of Sport, Sahara and Rubicon all using different fenders and bumpers seems to me like a total waste of money,

Thanks guys. The whole business of the multiple bumpers being used on different trim levels is a bit...mind boggling. I get the upgraded Rubicon steel bumper, but for the other trim levels it does seem odd.

So, NJJeep Guy: do you know if the particular part is available and will fit on my existing JLUS? I kind of messed up my current covers when I swapped out the fogs, so I'd have no issue with replacing them with the "Sport/EU" panels...

People can’t wait to get rid of those flaps. Craigslist and eBay are littered with them.

Like @BigGreen says: you should be able to pick up an entire bumper.

People have tried the Sahara (or Rubicon) covers on the Sport and they didn't fit, so I don't think they will work.

Sahara and Rubicon bumpers do not have those covers.

But your point remains in that the Sahara/Rubicon bumpers are physically different from that on Sport.

They have a cover that's not swappable. That was my point.

Fog lights aren't interchangeable between Sport and Sahara/Rubicon bumper either.
