Here's what I have: 2022 JLU Rubicon 4XE - Daily Driver

Here's what I want: 35" tires, 17 or 18" wheels with a wide stance (I like the poke). If lifting is required, it needs to be as smooth as stock. I'll be replacing the front bumper with an aluminum one with a wench.

Backspacing and lift recommendations please. I have searched until my eyes bleed. I know you guys know your stuff. 37" looks great but not for me at this time.

Thanks for your help!!

If you don't go off road, you shouldn't see any rubbing with 35s and most reasonable offsets.

I presume the rims on a 2022 Rubi 4xe are the same as my 2018 JLUR, meaning they are +44mm offset. I went -12mm and they poke about 1.5" outside the stock fenders. The higher the negative offset, the farther they will poke out.

I’m running Bilstein shocks, heard they have better road manners than Fox. I don’t know for sure if true, but I like mine and they’re cheaper.

Here are a couple pictures of mine on Method 701s with 35s and a 2.5 Clayton suspension. If this is the kind of "poke" you are talking about, the Methods are a great option. Before I put on the suspension the 35s worked great and did not rub at all for normal driving or mild offroad. They did rub a bit when I got really twisted up in rocks.

Finally, while the image is entertaining, I must caution about getting wenches with bumpers...hard to explain to the GF or wife.

Whether it's worth it really depends on the size of the bumpers .

What was the width of the wheels and offset or backspacing if you remember?

Here’s pre lift and first set of tires for comparison, 35x12.50, 17x8.5 +18

I'm often occupied, by many things, often at the same time
I'd get 35 x 11.5 x 17 on the stock wheels and leave the rest alone.
