I purchased a 2018 Sahara JLU and owned it for two years. All stock and no lift. During this time it was in the shop 12 times for numerous issues. Somehow I still loved it until i started to notice the paint bubbling. The dealer did an absolute horrible job repainting the vehicle. It didn't even match! So i traded it in. Anyway I am missing my Jeep. Can anyone tell me with 100% confidence that..

1. Is the aluminum door and steel hidge paint issue resolved either by using compatible metals or some other method?

2. Is the steering issue resolved? I hear that was finally corrected in the 2020.

Thanks
Doug

1: No they haven’t done anything and it’s only a mater of time. If you buy something, get a vehicle that would be easy to blend.

2: Steering feels great on my Jeep with correct tire pressures... Time will tell when I put my new wider wheel/tires on next week.

I have a 2018 Sahara as well; mine is Firecracker Red. No paint issues so far; knock on wood.

The steering feel improved a lot after they did the TSB. So my guess is new ones should drive better.

Good luck.

2019 jlur. Entire jeep paint is separating and corrosion bubbles starting to show on hinges. Hood was replaced less than a year ago due to corrosion on the hood. Less than 30k miles and 3 years old exactly.
