Do not use rubbing compound ???…EVER. Instead USE a high quality polish like Mesquires #7 with a clean microfiber cloth. Unfortunately I suspect you will only be able to modestly mask the damage, but removal will be difficult. Given the amount of damage you have it might be advisable to seek a professional who has knowledge of paint correction procedures. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you could worsen the problem.

Good luck with your fix!

Nothing wrong with rubbing compound. Don't rub too hard and go opposite the scratch.

This is a tough one. I don’t think you’re gonna be able to get rid of some thing like that 100%. If you find something that works well for you, please post back and share with others.

Chrystal polishes out pretty good just easy on the rubbing compound I use the links below. Black is a nightmare!

This will not make scratches completely disappear but had good luck with the synthetic clay and lots of cleaner / lube. Does wonders on tree sap and bugs too.

Clay Bar Sponge for Car Detailing -CHMLP07A https://a.co/d/9YkK2ay

Griot's Garage 11146 Speed Shine (Quick Detailer),Plastic, 35oz https://a.co/d/8dFj2NJ

Just make sure it is clean no mud, dirt, or dust.

Pour water on it. If it goes away then comes back when dried it’s just a clear coat scratch. Those are very easy to fix

Make paint correction a seasonal thing.

Collect all the scratches you can and polish them all out at the same time once a year or every other year. No sense in doing it every time you get one.
