Sounds good to me.

Which brings to this: I don't what you guys can get where you live. But in Texas, we a LOT of beers that are aged in used Bourbon Barrels and the beers are 5% +, some up to 9% and I love them, great beers brewed in Texas...
I love a good bourbon barrel aged stout

Agreed. I truly enjoy a good pint. But the dark aged beers that you mentioned are something that I enjoy more seasonally. When I'm hot out, I don't typically crave those dark, thick, strong ales and stouts as much. I tend towards some of the beers from places like Martin House that offer some unique choices like the colab with Deli Maid pickles for a beer.
Austin is BEER country! I was in a Pizza joint in Georgetown a while back was reading thru their beer menu and came across the beer made in Austin, 9%, aged in Bourbon barrels for like a long time. That beer was thick and as black as coal. Best beer I have ever had! Its not sold openly, it is shipped out to a few restaurants.

Picked up a 4 pack the other of this one from Kentucky. 8.2% Bourbon Bbbl aged, Delicious...

You can find that one in some HEB grocery stores. I did enjoy it.

What’s your favorite daily?

What’s your best shelf bottle?

It’s essential that Wrangler owners discuss this topic - It’s a bourbon thing.
Can I be the black sheep here and propose a Scotch as a daily favorite? I'd love me a smoky Johnnie Walker Double Black (or regular Black Label if Double Black not available).

Nope... bourbon thread. 🤓. Just tried the Maker's Mark 46 today at the Seahawks game. I enjoyed it. Need to check the liquor store price.

I love me some Scotch, but I can't do the smokey, peaty stuff. Johnny Black is about as much peat as I can handle. But you give me a good Highland or Speyside and I'll sip on that all day long!
