Tonight's pour is brought to you by Gary Jones Jr who was looking out for my white whale. Thanks Gary!

If it hasn't been brought up yet, Rabbit Hole is one to try. They have a few different mash bills depending on what you like; I have great memories of drinking their dareringer on warm summer nights in the Kentucky woods. And if you're ever in Louisville, their distillery is a sight to behold, and their barkeep comes up with some fantastic cocktails.
I'll be down there come fall, I'll have to put it on the list. Thanks for the tip

The Dareringer is my favorite of their brand. Definitely worth the try.

Nice little haul. Hopefully you didn’t pay the dumb amounts they want for Blanton’s around here! Had the Bookers….Cool display, but it wasn’t my thing….Saving it as fuel for the zombie apocalypse.

This thread has been quiet lately. Miss you guys. What’s everyone drinking? Picked up a few half bottles recently to try some new things - OF 1910, Yellowstone, Wyoming, nothing too fancy. Friend gave me a bottle of Smooth Ambler Old Scout that I also need to crack open. As a Whistlepig and Solo Stove fan, this is also tempting… (adding a zoom in on the label)

On the tail end of a bottle of Old Emmer Cask Strength. Recommended by a pusher at Total Wine. That said, pretty good value.

I enjoy regular Elijah Craig and have a couple bottles of EC single barrel. How does the toasted compare?

It's really a good sipper and worth the money. I also have tried the Penelope Toasted and that is another good sipper.

Tomorrow, June 14th, is National Bourbon Day!

This is my most recent bottles. I think I'll give the ECBP B524 a try after work tomorrow. I have another LBP B524 opened that I'm going to blind against LBP C923 and A124 since I still have some of each of them left too. LBP B524 drank a bit hot, but has a great taste. I'm a sucker for the Smoke Wagon holiday bottles. I have gotten them the past couple of years. The RHF and Blanton's were from a Total Wine cattle call a few weeks back. I generally won't stand in a line for a bottle, but it was a nice morning, I woke up early and didn't have anything better to do.

and I got this Deep Dipper (not quite a slam dunk) Maker's Cask Strength.

I've been enjoying this Maker's Private Selection the past few weeks. I think I picked it up back at Christmas time when we went to my daughter's house in South Carolina.

I'm a BIG fan of the Smooth Ambler Old Scout and the Yellowstone.

I've been frustrated by the global inability to find decent bourbon that's not marked up 5000%. So, I've been diving into the world of quality tequilas - that you can actually find for <$100.

I have cracked open a couple of bourbon bottles that I've had in the cabinet recently though - Old Forester Barrel Strength and Barrel Bourbon 15 yr. Both are quite lovely.

I think Tequila is going to continue to be on the rise. Like you, I see more people going for tequilas because of the better availability and pricing. I see local stores pushing it on social media more often now. Even the Total Wine by me has moved tequilas from 3 aisles deep to the main aisle in the store.
