I don’t blame you. I found this on their history section…

I wonder if it’s almost like an Orphan Barrel type of offering.
Right. Noting in that paragraph is important to me. Sounds like they’re cashing in on the bourbon boom by buying from an unknown source or sources and putting it into a pretty bottle with a big price tag. I can’t even be mad tho. It’s probably working out fantastically for them.

I’ll pay $160 for a bottle of bourbon if it’s rare and I know it’s something I’ll love. But I believe I’ll leave this one for someone else until I’ve at least tasted it.

Exactly. I’ll take the $160 and get a bottle of Michters 10 year or add a few bucks and get another bottle of Elijah Craig 18.

Got a couple OWAs in trade (for a clear bottle smoke wagon uncut/unfiltered and a Frey Ranch) and snagged the new Garrison Brothers Guadalupe.

One of my local stores has a premium bourbon I’ve never tried called St. Cloud. It’s a single barrel 7 year old cask strength, but it’s about $160. Anyone had it? Worth the price tag?
I had never heard of it. Just read a few reviews and they seemed pretty mixed. Looks like a fancy bottle with some unknown 7 year bourbon. I wouldn't buy it myself. I don't break the $100 mark very often though.

It has to be a pretty special bottle to go over $100 IMO. I still think Eagle Rare is one of the best, but the local stores are charging $75+ per bottle. Luckily I can get it on base for $28 tax free! Only downside is they only allow 1 bottle per person and they only get one case per month, so you have to be there when it comes in!

Picked up a bottle of Ancient Age today. Pretty good IMO.

I didn't like it, but seems I just don't like finished bourbons. I do like finished ryes though.

I love this stuff. I'm a fan of this and their Cigar Malt blend (which is hard to find). This one has almost a bit of "cola" taste to it.

Jeep Wrangler JL Bourbon talk... Whistle Pi

Just picked this up, and boy it is EXCELLENT! I have a bottle of the 12 yr also but this one blows it out of the water. For me it's the new standard for Whistle Pig, unless I can get my hands and wallet on a bottle of Boss Hog.

Nice. I had either 12 or 15 at a restaurant on the strip and it was excellent.

A local group is hosting a bottle share/dinner tomorrow evening and there is an option to buy a barrel pick OWA so I did. I'm going to take a bottle of Same Old Moses that I got in Oklahoma for my share bottle. I could not find any info about it other than whats on the bottle. Double oaked, distilled in TX, aged in Oklahoma. Figured it will be something new that probably nobody there has had, so why not.

That is good stuff. I’m not really into rye, but I picked up a flight of 50 ml “piglet” bottles of the 10, 12, and 15 year for about $20 to try out. They were good, but the 15 was great like you said. If it weren’t so expensive I’d buy a bottle.
