I know from a little research on the Hemi 5.7L I had, that anything much above a 6 psi boost is not good unless you go to forged pistons and crank unless you wanna break stuff. Not sure what the 2.0L has inside in that regard.

This is true when an engine was not built to have boost. However, when you build an engine that is setup for boost there are many factors beyond just a forged lower end. Compression ratio, cam timing, piston coating, ring gaps etc.

I am looking to install a boost gauge so I can establish a good baseline of how this engine is operating. So when it is time for upgrades in the future with things like tunes, intakes, exhaust etc. so I will know how what I am doing is effecting the potential level of reliability.

A JB4 gives you a digital boost gauge on your iPad/iPhone/Android device....
nice, I kinda wanted one up on the dash. I’m not sure what I wanna do now. I bought this one on eBay and I’m about to drill the Mishimoto pipe. Then I saw the vaitrix one and now I’m kinda leaning towards that. Idk.

With all the Off Road Pages and instrumentation the JL has you think they would have included a boost gage? To be fair though, a lot of other turbo vehicles don't have them.

our whole dash is digital, it really wouldn’t have been that big of a deal to add it on as one of the gauges you can see. It shows you dam near everything else. Wouldn’t have cost them any money either to add it.

A turbo boost gage is a waste of time and attention. Kind of like the real-time fuel economy gage. Keep your eyes on the damn road. All of these electronic visual distractions in today's Wrangler are probably the cause of most of the wandering steering complaints.
