It doesn't take much to "smoke" a KM2 offroad. Guys have been complaining about those since the day they came out. Bad mud traction, noisy on the highway, sizes run small, poor wear patterns, etc.

That wasn't my experience.

Loved my set on the LJ. Held up well on rocks, in mud, rain, and were even quieter than expected on the road.

I'll give you Firestone has a cheaper option though.

It's a BETTER option. The fact that it is also cheaper, makes it a no brainer!

I am in agreement. The Firestone’s are great tires. If not for the snow traction I might have gone with them. And the Destination AT’s are probably one of the best all terrains out there. They just need the sidewall strength of the MT.

Mine were VERY good. Best all-around mud tire I've ever driven, especially on the rocks, in the sand, and of course, the mud. The only area where it left something to be desired was for winter driving. They were even good in the rain. A buddy and I went to Moab in 2014 and he had Duratracs. We ran the exact same trails at the same speeds. They handled every kind of off-road terrain I could throw at them. The only things, other than winter traction, that I didn't love were the noise and stiff ride. (E rated, and they weren't any louder than any other mud tire I've seen.) They went over 60k miles and had probably another 15 to 20k left in them when I sold them.

I'm looking forward to seeing how they've improved upon it with the KM3. I love the KO2's enough that I won't swap them out, but maybe once worn out, I might consider the KM3.

I've run KM2s on my JK out West and all over the Midwest and they were excellent. Best off road tire I've had. I'll be surprised if the KM3 isn't even better.

My wheeling buddy got 80,000 miles out of a set of 33x12.50 KMs on a built Tacoma. I saw it myself. He ran them HARD in all conditions and trails for 8 years.

I tried the KM2 after that and hated it. Wore like crap, was loud as hell, ran small, terrible traction, etc. We all felt like the KM2 was a huge step backward.

I really wanted to try the KM3 and I probably should have waited but I decided to go KO2 instead because I'm still skiddish after the KM2 debacle. I'll wait and watch for real world reviews before trying KM3. Until then, KO2 will serve me well.

I just secured a set of KM3 35/12.5/17. Should be here later this week and I’ll get them mounted up on a set of Mopar wheels and post a photo.

@DesertsJL Any Updates???

I saw they have the 37x12.5r17 C-rated available on the discount tire site for $351. AND I found 39x13.5r17 also C-rated on there for $345 but it's not available yet :headbang: THAT would be the dream size and rating for me! Just sitting here with a MetalCloak lift in boxes and waiting on backordered rims and going insane.. back and forth between SST Pro and these. The JL waiting game continues....

UPDATE: Found and ordered the 39x13.5r17 KM3 on Summit site, only $344ea and free shipping, it says estimated ship date is 7/5

Surprisingly quiet for a MT tire. You can tell that they are a stiff tire, but they ride well otherwise.

Thanks. I had it powder coated in order to get rid of the silver.

Looking at the same tire, same size.....I was asking how they are on the highway....road, noise...smooth ride.
Was considering these or Goodyear MTR's
