That is definitely true. My 34/10.5r17 on the LJ sure seem like 33s

Ya my last set of KM2s 35x12.5r17s were 33.6" when I measured brand new. I definitely preferred the original KM when it came to playing in sand but in the rocks I had no complaints with the 2s

Was that the size you measured on the Jeep or off the Jeep?

Ya this was mounted. I only happened to measure because I was adjusting the speedo with the ProCal. Don't get me wrong I'm excited as shit about the new KM3, just plan on going up a size to get what you're actually hoping for.

I wonder if BF Goodrich measures them dismounted then.

They’re more than an inch shorter. Like most tire manufacturers. They measure tire height differently than we do.
I've heard that before and I don't have a lot of experience but the Nitto's I have are bang on as advertised at 36psi, they advertise 33.8". I hadn't thought of it until just now but I should measure the spare, it must be 34.5" or maybe 35".

Okay, I've had too long to wait for my JL.

I'm getting a set of KM3's for my now bare black wheels with polished lip Rubicon wheels. I just loved the KM2's enough that I feel the need to repeat the experience.

I wonder if BFGoodrich has any plans for a hybrid tire like the Nitto Ridge Grappler.

Any word on a KO3?

There won't be a KO3 for a long time because the KO2 is relatively new, and they altered the outer tread blocks and sidewall tread to more closely mimic the popular "hybrid" tires that are all the rage these days. The KO2 is likely the tire they'll push for a long time. Hopefully not as long as the KO, since that tire was generally unchanged since the late 1970s. That interlocked tread pattern is way out of it's prime.

I wish they made them in 38" since they run so damn small. Looks like ill be getting the 37"s

The new Firestone Destination MT2 released last year was put up head to head against the Goodrich KM2s and smoked them (video of the comparison below)! If the KM3s are basically the same design with a stronger sidewall, I am not impressed! They didn't even add any siping to the tires to make them better with wet traction!
