Mine arrived yesterday, bolted it on this morning. Build quality and packaging were top notch, instructions were easy and this thing went on in 15 minutes.

It’s humid as hell in Austin, so I’m trusting my bamboo will soak it up. We’re heading to Colorado next week, so will be interesting to see if it I have any shrinkage In the dry air.

How much gap is there between the wood and metal? I have to cram a piece of wood in there to keep it from rattling.

The wood is pretty tight right now — takes some effort to slide it out. I haven’t noticed any rattling so far, but the only challenge I’ve thrown at it is a speed bump.

Outback Adventures table, very solid, no holes, no rattles

2024 Update: Starting in 2023 the table started falling down while driving on rough trails or washboard roads. The pins holding the table up back out and the table falls down. I have emailed Outback Adventures three times for possible remedies and gotten no response.

Any luck yet?

I have same table for about 3yrs now. So far so good. I'll keep an eye on your solution in case I have to deal with this issue too?!

Have used this table with every camping trip as a coffee bar and/or oatmeal bar and it has held up very well. Only complaint is occasionally the pins will rotate making it difficult to close. Solution is to just turn them and align angled pins back up. I know to check and turn them as needed, but the misses can't seem to grasp this? Lol.

Couple of months in with my Front Runner table and I couldn't be happier. Excellent build quality and zero rattles or any other issues, even on hard trails. I paid $278 for it and it took about an hour to install. I didn't want to buy a $99 Amazon cheapie, nor could I afford a Goose Gear or other $550-700 table, so this one was in the Goldilocks zone in terms of pricing, but with zero compromises on performance. Only suggestion is to get yourself a 12mm drill bit for the installation; it really should have been included with the hardware.

Fellow Front Runner table owner here. You summed things up pretty well. 👍

I will suggest that the quality of the sliding table pieces is hit or miss. Some photos, like yours, illustrate an attractive grain. The appearance of my table is largely grain-free, and it has a light stain wash that suggests 4:29PM on a Friday afternoon. This doesn't affect its functioning. Rather, I sometimes wish I had better luck of the draw.

Another Front Runner fan here. I am on my second one - had one in a previous Wrangler. I really think it hits the right spot as well. I also like that there arent cables extending down from it and I "think" it has one of the highest wight capacities for the table.
They only thing I would like to improve on it is the slickness of the metal table. Anyone find this an issue and found a way to make it less slippery?

just installed the Goose Gear. It’s very nice. Smooth and easy one hand operation, no rattles whatsoever.

It’s a big upgrade to the mopar tailgate table I replaced.

Reporting back - my Goose Gear table rattles pretty consistently now. We took the rig out to Moab and beat the hell out of it on Hell's Gate and Mickey's, ever since it rattles even on a paved road.

I'm going to see if a strip of weather sealant along the bottom of the rails for the cutting guard do the trick. Otherwise, I'll probably just yank the board since I never use it.

We have had our Rough Country tailgate table for 3yrs and 35k miles, still good as new. No rattles or any other noise from it.
I'd buy another, in fact I bought one for my father in law awhile back.

I shim a piece of wood in mine, but you're right, it'd be better to just remove the board.
