That’s just the rubber mat that goes on top of the tuffy security enclosure. The actual thing is several hundred dollars.

OP, take a look at Tuffy, Jeep backbone, and some of the others over at the interior mods section. As far as I know there isn’t a waterproof tonneau cover yet like the Jk had but security from wind and thieves is available.
Awesome! Thank you so much for the help!!

Ah, good to know. I couldn't remember what the lock box system was :facepalm: so I was looking for the picture.

I don’t need anything that is super secure. Wanting it more for covering up my groceries and what not while the top is either down or off so I don’t loose things along the way. Lol!
Hi Nancy. What's "best," is the cover that meets your requirements.;)

Towards that end I second the GPCA cover. I say this because it's rugged enough so you can place light items on top of it, in addition to the requirements you state above.

The cover is reversible, and in the more "rugged" side facing up configuration there are strong loops built into the design that you can attach stuff to with, say, a caribiner.

(The fancy side of the cover is hardly "fancy;" the rugged side hardly "rugged.")

~~~~~~
(If you go with the GPCA cover, this is important, every step.)
If you didn't also order a hard top, you may need some bolts that screw into the cargo tub liner that would normally be provided and installed for hard top users.
I really like these from GPCA as well https://www.gpca.us/shop/jeep-wrangler-jl-jk-hardtop-quick-release/ as the serve the dual purpose of providing a place to tie down stuff on top of the cover to, but replace the bolts, as provided from the factory with the hard top, that help keep the hard top on (if equipped..you indicate that you are getting a soft top, I don't know if a hard top as well.)
(You will, as explained below, only be using 4 of the 6 bolts of this GPCA kit with a soft top.)
Again, if you are a soft top only purchaser, I don't think these bolts (M8 size X 1.25) may come with your vehicle, in which case you can get the ones from MOPAR, buy generic ones, or the ones linked above---but you will need those bolts. Here are the official ones.
https://www.quadratec.com/products/13111_0118.htm
You don't need these if you buy GPCA's anchor bolts linked above.
And of course, because nothing is simple in life;) , if you get these torx bit style bolts, you'll also need a torx wrench with T40 and T50 size bits. I think it's supplied for soft top owners only. I know it is for hard and dual top owners. Here's the official one but any T40 and T50 bit wrench will do:
https://www.quadratec.com/vehicle/jeep-wrangler-jl-parts/tools/tool-kits
Wait....one more thing.
On each side of the vehicle the cover is tied down with 3 bolts in the cargo area that screw into factory welded nuts on the cargo tub liner. Those bolts secure down the "D" rings that come with the cover.
The bolts closest to the front of the rig, on each side, has to be a special one that has a countersunk head. The factory bolts don't have countersunk heads.
It looks like the head on this bolt but may be shorter/different size, even though the bolt here is for another purpose:
https://www.quadratec.com/products/12504_0037.htm
I think GPCA provides them now in case you have a soft top. They didn't on the initial release of the product. They are countersunk M8 bolts that are shorter than the factory ones.
~~~~~~~~

Finally, these bolts (one on each side) go under the "dog leg" (I'll explain). The dog leg is a piece of plastic hardware that comes equipped for soft top owners. It can be lifted up a tad to retrofit the countersunk bolt without having to take the soft top off.

Watch this video at this point where soft top installation is explained specific to the dog legs:

You're going to need to need the smaller T40 bit of your torx supplied wrench to do these steps in reverse (i.e. undo the two bolts that secure this piece on top, to lift it up a wee bit, to get that torx screw and D ring (supplied by GPCA) attached. The welded screw in point lies under the part of the dog leg that touches the cargo tub liner.

(The factory bolts for the hard top have a bigger T50 size head. The two bolts that keep the dog leg attached at top are T40 in size.)

~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm sorry for the long winded explanation. Nothing of it though is anything but essential to know if you go with the GPCA cover and a soft top only, which is worth it.
Cheers. :)
Thanks for the link Alex. Do you know whether this cover, when installed, will allow you to get the soft windows back on or is for top off use only? In particular I'm wondering if the side soft windows can secure at the bottom. in that exterior channel in the cargo tub liner, given that the "real estate" may be occupied by the product instead.
Thanks.
Tuffy’s security deck is good if you need to secure your things with the top off while you’re away from your Jeep. The link above is for the rubber mat only. This is the link for the security enclosure that it sets on... https://www.quadratec.com/p/tuffy/s...JHN-gNRT_dvV3Dh4biEWKrpCT8QeaUUsaAinDEALw_wcB
I have a GPCA cargo cover and have been pleased with it so far. It’s a fraction of the cost of Tuffy’s but does not secure your things when the top is off. I leave the hard top on all the time so I just needed a cover. Here’s the link to GPCA’s cargo cover... https://www.gpca.us/shop/gpca-jeep-wrangler-jl-unlimited-cargo-cover-pro/
I also have the Harbor Freight moving blanket for when the back seat is down.
I have the GPCA Pro cover. Had it on all summer with top off. It is just OK. Black faded from the sun and looks a little purple now. Also, the ends at the gate end sag quite a bit and flap around in the wind no matter how much you "cinch" it up with the velcro. However, it does keep items from flying out, and hides items nicely with the top on. Nice concept and price, but the quality/durability don't seem to be there.
I think next season I will be looking at something like the Rampage.
I could tell you, but then....
That could work but maybe something more solid. So nosy people won’t see all the junk food I buy.
Don’t worry... nobody on here will judge you for the junk food... they’ll save that for your choice of wheels... lift... bumpers... etc...
Good point. I should add that I built a wooden box like structure under the cover that forms part of a bed platform (yet to be built.) For me, this gives the GPCA cover its real strength to hold things on top.
Interesting to note what happens when the cover is directly exposed to the elements. GPCA should look into making it with more UV protection IMHO.
I got mine because I want to hide things from prying eyes and didn't want to spend the $ on something more substantial from makers like Tuffy: great products they make nonetheless.:)
Thank you so much for all the info!! I think I decided on the GPCA pro.
Do you have a soft top or a hard top? A lot of these covers apparently make it impossible to lock the soft top down when they're in place.
I have both the hard and soft top
