Did your originally approved insurance estimate not cover any of the drivetrain components? Was it strictly body and paint, wheels, etc?
Yeah, they wrote in the estimate they were going to sub it out for those items

The insurance estimate cannot sublet major repair items without lining them out individually...this really doesn’t come across as having been handled professionally.

Yeah I lost count of the amount of times they have bullshitted me and wasted my time. I have seriously considered talking to an attorney about recovering all the rental fees and whatnot. Ultimately that’s another headache though and I just want my rig back. If it drags on however it’s still on the table.

So the Jeep hit a large rock at high speed (was not offroading at the time). Apparently the rear axle (Dana M220) is bent and it drives like crap, effectively undriveable. It pulls hard side to side, tire shop said the wheels look angled in.

Its been sitting at the shop for a while now and Im still waiting on an estimate and repair timeline.

Has anyone here dealt with this before? Is this even repairable or will insurance likely be buying a whole new axle assembly? Everything is moving so slow and I have no sense of what to expect.
