Benchseat cupholder latch broken?

Hey guys!

Rubicon Unlimited here with leather seats.

Im about 2 weeks into my ride and love it. But the other day I had a to brake a little hard and the middle console in the bench seats slammed down. I tried putting it back but it wont "click" back in.

I took a picture of the latch, maybe someone can compare with theirs and see if maybe mine is stuck or something?

I'd bring it to the dealer to get fixed. Every time I hit my brakes a little to hard the console comes slamming down.

Looks about the same as mine...

FWIW - mine hasn't "worked properly" since I got it. I usually just punch it kinda hard so it latches. Hasn't annoyed me enough yet to have the dealer try to adjust it.

Hmmm I've tried a hard slam. Maybe I'll try a hard punch lol

Well, that's what warranties are for I suppose.

**UPDATE**

Did a hard punch as recommended above and it finally locked back in lol. I lowered it manually and and tried to push it back in to see if maybe the lock had adjusted itself but no. Still requires hard punch. Dont know if I want to take it to the dealer for this or not.
