Has anyone had issues with the center console lower latch? Twice now mine has popped loose. Any fix besides the dealer?

Thanks in advance.

After the second time mine did that I put a little bit of Sugru on it so the big pin can't slide out. It works I guess, hasn't fallen apart since. Could maybe use some silicon...

I tried a few small retaining washers and press on caps but they either didn't fit or I was too fumble fingered to get them in place. I said lots of bad words.

So, a drop of glue on the passenger side of the rod and it has been fine now for a couple of weeks.

Maybe it's a Mojito thing...:giggle:
If they got a bad batch of center consoles the same time Mojitos were going through, maybe its possible. I don't remember about the 2018s having this issue, but I could be wrong.

I'm not opposed to trying to fix it myself, but I also don't want to hear from the dealer that I broke it if the fix doesn't hold.

I understand the feeling. I had read that the fix was a new center console cover/armrest and I thought that was quite a waste of warranty repair so I just did it myself.

First time it happened was on the day after I brought it home. Was thinking about going back to dealer and having them deal with it, but it was an easy enough fix (although annoying).

I may just call the dealer and report the problem, and see if then try to fix it myself. No need to have them do anything if I fix it. They may also be familiar with the problem and not need to replace the center console.

Mine was assembled 11/26/18 if I recall correctly, yours?

I am unsure of the actual build date, I know the projected ship date was 11/25, and it got to my dealer in Eastern Pennsylvania on 11/30, so our build dates should be very close, if not the same.

Interesting, possibly a correlation...
