I took delivery yesterday on Saturday Jan 28th, girl is a beaut and a little beast. I'll post some first impressions here later, but for now here are the pictures I took when I got my first look at her!

.... Also, my dog just happened to jump in without any prompting when I opened the door to take a look inside.... ??

Haha, it "only" took 6 months ?
I know poor you, I was being sarcastic ... I kept reading the Earl thread you started, hoping to read that you got yours, only to find out that everybody but you would take delivery of their Earl... Glad to see it's finally in your possession.

A bunch of pictures from a recent trip to Moab! Definitely learned a lot and had a bunch of fun, met some rad people from the forum and learned what BeeBee can and can't do as she is fully stock. The 4.88 gearing came in clutch (haha! didn't catch that pun until after the fact!) at a couple moments, and was super awesome, but I will most definitely need to prioritize some full belly skids before I do any further work on her.

I also got my first duck on the return trip home when we made a stop for dinner, and did a little shopping at the original Pendleton store as well as at Powell's Books in Portland. Overall had a blast and can't wait for the next time I go down!

Great pictures! So glad you had a great time. So, what is the blackout? Apparition? Hope the scratches aren't deep on that beautiful Earl.

The blacked out blob is me standing on the front bumper. Don't care to share my basement troll mug on the forum.

As for the scratches, I found a local service to buff and paint the ones that are too deep, and it will only cost me $110+ tax..... though I'll be sad to see them go, since I forgot to login to the badge of honour app while we were wheeling, I kinda thought of them as their own kind of badge.... but it's probably for the best for the long term if I get them taken care of.

Getting it fixed for only $110 is a deal. Keep BeeBee looking great.

Like you, I don't like posting pictures of myself. Every time I have my picture taken, a camera lens cracks or shatters.

LOL. It feels like every time I get my picture taken, a demon gets its horns and every time I look at a picture of myself, I wonder who is that old fuck?

Small update since I haven't written anything in here. I bought a set of Rugged Ridge tube doors from a fellow forum member who gave me a very good deal on them, and have been running them all summer. The picture below is the most recent picture I've taken, though since then I've taken to running the soft top in safari mode sans windows. It started with me just taking off the rear window, but the rear quarter panel windows don't seem to stay in very well on their own without the rear window, so I just took it all off and haven't put them back on since really.

Jeep Wrangler JL BeeBee's Build Journey IMG_1054

I have plans to upgrade BeeBee from a baby beast to a slightly-more grown up Beast with the purchase of the following parts (some are second hand/lightly used that I got a good deal on, some are new)
  • Full set of Rock Jock control arms
  • 4" Synergy coils
  • 3.1 Falcon SP2 shocks
  • Metalcloak track bars front/rear
  • Metalcloak Full belly skids
  • Clayton adjustable sway bar links
I was made an offer from @19 JLUR Bright Whit3 that if I made the drive to NJ that he would install everything for me on trade of a case of beer..... Seeing as I live in BC, Canada I don't think he actually thought I would take him up on his offer. Little to his knowledge that I only need the smallest of excuses to make a long haul road trip, and I took him up on his offer. He was kind enough to offer to take delivery of any new parts I ordered so I could save on shipping and import duties. Going on the trip with my best friend, as she is the same as me when it comes to going on Road Trip Adventures™.

I'll make a couple of separate posts about future plans for BeeBee, as well as plans for the road trip E to NJ to keep this one short and sweet.

Future Plans for BeeBee after she gets her lift are in a pretty fluid state of priorities at the moment. I keep on finding something that needs addressing that I wanna add to the list. But the list for future plans in a rough order of priority goes:
  1. A full 5 set of dedicated winter tires.
  2. A full 5 set of 37s to run in the summer
  3. Set of rims to go with the above 37's. I like to have separate summer/winter tires with their own wheels for easy swapping.

From here on out, the list becomes a lot more fluid.
  1. Lizzard Skin full inner tub install
  2. Tailgate hinge upgrade will definitely have to happen if I'm running 37's and want to run a spare tire (currently leaning TeraFlex).
  3. Falcon cartridge upgrade to upgrade the shocks from 3.1s to 3.3s.
  4. Rock rails with steps that don't compromise clearance too much (Metalcloak flip step is nice, but pricy).
  5. Drag Link upgrade front/rear
  6. Rear bumper swap (I need something that has the corners tucked up tighter than stock steel)
  7. Some kind of basket roof rack solution
  8. Driveshaft upgrade
  9. Steering upgrade of some sort
  10. Winch

This @19 JLUR Bright Whit3 sounds like a sucker. Better give him a 25% tip. I heard he likes those athletic low carb beers. (Michelob Ultra) ;)
