So after selling our trusty 3.6 JKUR which we had for around 3 years, the time came for a JL. We specifically wanted sting gray this time as we had hydro blue last time, we waited around 7 months to be able to get a Sting Gray JL Rubicon with the 2.0 turbo ( we only get the 2.0 or the 2.2 diesel) over here in the UK.

In December 19 we finally picked up the rubicon, we had a road trip planned for Christmas time which we had been planning for a long time, so it was touch and go as to whether the jeep would turn up in time.

It turned up 2 weeks before we were due to leave so we decided to throw all the parts at it that we had waiting patiently for the build!

Below I will list the current specs of the vehicle and then I will post separate posts if people are interested in the build phases.

Like the plans for your rig!
One thing that was noticed is the front bumper for a UK JLUR is different than the USA JLUR.

Not only the front bumper, but the rear is different as well. Also the side mirrors are different and I just noticed the hood vents are different as well. Never noticed that before. They also get the hood lock in the grill.

An owner could sun themselves on that deck of a bumper

Yeah unfortunately we don’t get everything you guys get in the US. But we have pretty much converted everything to make up for it apart from the steering wheel being on the right side

see below some pics when we finished up the bulk of the build before heading off on our road trip over the Christmas period!

Why is his grey dash so shiny? Mines dull as hell.

Did you need a new Trackbar after the AEV lift? Wondering if your front axle is shifter to one side, compared to the back.

Hello I ha e those salta wheels from a previous Jeep jk but I was wondering how you got the salts wheels to fit? I hear the lug nuts is a problem.. do you have a link to which lug buts you used? I heard because of the thicker threads it is inposssibke to fit the normal lugs.

any issues withthose wheels on the JL?
