Batteries or Locker Sensors?

Hi all,

I have a 2022 JLUR, 6mt, 4.88's. Got 63k on it and every now and then the Locker lights up on the dash even though I am not in 4L, usually doing 80 down the freeway, comes on for a second or 2 and goes out.

Tonight it came on and stayed on for a long while and the page saying the rear Locker was engaged came on and the switch was blinking.

I really haven't engaged the lockers but a few times and seemed to work.

I know these modern vehicles do weird things just before the batteries go out. My Challenger started weird dash lights after 3 years so wondering if this is the real culprit.

Anyone else have this issue?

Is it ESS or eTorque? How old are the batteries?

Hi again,

6mt so no E-torque and have a Taser and ess turned off

Factory batteries so 3 almost 4 years old

If the locker sensor indicators are the only thing glitching, it’s most likely the locker position sensor is malfunctioning. I had the same thing in my rig recently; it was the rear locker sensor. It was replaced under warranty. All good now.

If it was your batteries, which are getting old, your dash would most likely light up like a Christmas tree.
