I've recently been doing a lot of research on automatic lockers, such as the TORQ locker on my Willys Sport JL for a front locker, mostly because of their cost of entry. I would like some firsthand accounts as to their durability, reliability, and performance on a daily driver/weekend warrior Jeep. Also, say that I want to regear down the road to 4.56s before or after the TORQ front locker. Would the TORQ locker still work on it or would I have to graduate to an electronic/air locker at that point? How bad or loud is the clicking in parking lots and when making tight turns in 2WD? Have you ever had your auto locker engage in 2WD when making aggressive turns on the highway?

Basically, tell me everything and if you would recommend it on a Jeep very well within its warranty.

I am curious to see the responses. I have Eaton ELocker in rear nothing yet in the front. Have Willy’s Extreme Recon. With Super Dana 44

I’d be careful about mounting an automatic locker in the front, due to the fact that you still have to steer the front wheels.

I’d look at a front TrueTrac instead. It’ll give you a little more play when you turn.

Good luck.

No experience with the brand you're asking

But I had an Aussie in the front of my TJ before I could save up enough for ARBs. Worked great....with minor clicking while turning in the parking lots
