Hi all,

I’m new to the Jeep world and I have 2024 Wrangler JLU, currently running stock suspension with 35” tires. So far no issues, but I want to run 37” for this summer.
My question is what are the components that I have to upgrade in order to run 37” without any issues.

so far I have bought these parts a
-FOX 2.0 Performance Steering Stabilizer
-TeraFlex HD Forged Adj Front Track Bar
-TeraFlex HD Forged Adj Rear Track Bar
-Dynatrac HD BallJoints

Thinking about adding lift kit, but I don’t know if the stock shocks will work.

Help me decide on budget lift kit that utilizes the stock shocks. I’m looking at this at the moment.

Not that I am suggesting it, but there are shock risers/extensions available if you want to continue running your stock shocks with whatever lift you get.

Teraflex has some since you already have some of their products, but other companies out there offering similar as well.

I ran a 2" spacer lift with shock extensions on a Gladiator Sport for a while. Wheeled it occasionally as well. It did fine. I would recommend adding extended bump stops and longer swaybar end links to the mix, at minimum.

You don’t need adjustable control arms. At least not yet. A 2 inch lift will suffice if you have a rubicon. You need the coils, longer sway bar links, shocks, bump stop extensions, and preferably a longer front lca or geometry correction brackets, and a beefier track bar.

If you do it right, you can have a really nice riding jeep on 37s. I have a dynatrac 2 inch lift, I used the mopar sway bar links from the mopar lift kit (less issues than dynatrac), a dynatrac front lca (i did have the mopar front lca from the lift kit but wanted to try the dynatrac), and a clayton front track bar. I had the xtreme recon suspension and my ieep now rides better on 37s than on the xr. I don’t like shock extensions because it limits you and eventually you will want to upgrade. All of my lift components were less than $1500.

You don’t need to spend $5000 on a lift kit. Aev, dynatrac, jks, and mopar are all good. Rockkrawler or clayton would also be good if you want to spend more money. My buddy has rockkrawler and I was surprised how nice it rode.

I had a teraflex lift kit once upon a time and it rode really poorly. I have also personally had mopar, aev, dynatrac, and unfortunately rough country. Dynatrac is the best riding followed by aev.

your front and rear control arms if you'd like. I'm in the middle of going to 3in on my 24 JLU rubi and I'm doing all 8 arms from Teraflex. along with track bars, drag link, and tie rod

check out metal cloaks stuff.

I did a great budget lift with my Jeep. I sourced the Mopar lift kit springs for my specific model and then paired those with Bilstein 5100 shocks, and since you already have track bars, you are already ahead of the game. It works great for me and very cost-effective. At first it was about 3.25” of lift and it has no settled to about 2.5-2.75”. If you’re interested, you can DM me and I will help you with the part numbers for the springs

I already ordered teraflex 2.5” coil spring base lift kit along with 2” shock extension. I want to see if this works and want to upgrade the shock in the future since I already have 18k miles on the stock ones.

Stock shocks can be used. They have a bit of a choppy ride, but with some extensions, they can work, albeit limited in travel.

You can approach the necessary tire clearance a couple ways. One way would be to get more clearance by going to fender modifications. The other is to lift it higher.

I don't know the backspace of an XR wheel, but I can tell you that a 4.5" backspace 17x8.5 will work with a 37x12.5

Since your 2024 likely doesn't have an functional FAD, you need to keep the pinion angle at a happy angle where the driveshaft doesn't have bad vibes, as you lift higher.

Edit: missed where you already ordered. Enjoy

Clayton, Metalcloak, Rock Krawler are each a quality brand that will give you a lift with the necessary parts to ensure axle alignment and clear 37s.
I've wheeled all over the east coast rocks with a Clayton 1.5" Ride Right lift + gutted fenders.
You can do the 2.5": Clayton Ride Right, Rock Krawler Starter System, or Metalcloak True Dual and not have to gut fenders (probably). Each of these is upgradable as time goes on, too.
Pair with a decent shock and you'll be fine. Rancho makes a fantastic budget shock if you're not wanting to go down the Fox route. Or I suppose you could do extensions.
