lol that's what my son said - time for a steel bumper like I had on my JK. Not interested in spending that kind of money at the money, no disposable money. Just in disbelief that it happened.

I'm confused, you spent $400 fixing a crap halogen fog light in the crap plastic bumper because you didn't want to spend $100 on someone's take off bumper or $400 on a steel bumper with fog lights? The math isn't mathing. My JT mojave plastic bumper with led fog lights came off at 3k miles and went to the dump. People basically give the plastic bumpers away to get rid of them.

I absolutely agree! I gave away my plastic bumper on my 07 JK after I put a stubby bumper on it. We are the older generation and I've had a lot of issue with this jeep since I purchased it. So just want to pay it off and retire.

Insects, birds, rodents, rocks, deer, hail...but never a piece of fruit!

At least it hit low and took out the fog light vs a headlight, those things are even more expensive to replace

So not sure if the jk and jl factory fog lights have the same bracket, but I have a pair of JK factory lights here you can have. Just pay shipping. I put aftermarket amber ones on my JK years ago and the old ones are just sitting here.

EDITED: I made this post not for advice on what to do about the fog light or replacing a bumper. Just a story of what happened that is one in a million shot.

Ok so about a week ago I was driving home, and was passing a vehicle in the truck lanes when a truck going the opposite direction threw something out of his driver's window. It hit me, wasn't sure where or what it was. I noticed that the truck was full of split stove length wood and thought I hope one of those didn't come out, but I would've felt it harder. I basically noticed the type of vehicle, the color and that was it as I was passing a car. I was like ok where is that car that I was passing cause I was thinking of turn around and chasing down the truck for a plate number and then too many cars were behind him to make a safe turn. I'll just wait till I get home ( 1/2 mile away) to see what hit me. It was a damn banana, a whole banana that smashed my passenger side fog light, destroyed it and the bracket. I've been to the dealer now twice to get it replaced and they didnt realize that the assembly didn't come with a bracket which was also destroyed.

So my nickname until it's fixed is banana split. $400 at least for the cost.

I do have a set of the regular LED fog lamps from my 2024 Rubicon I want to get rid of. I pulled them out when it when they were new to replace them with Baja Designs ones. $100 plus shipping from Arizona if you wish ~ [email protected]

Yeah, had to hit the fog like dead center. What're the odds that a banana tossed from a moving vehicle would nail their Jeep square in the fog light.

As others have said, plenty of takeoffs laying around in garages. Should be able to pick one up cheap.
