You know, I think I am better off not knowing. Never signed up for Jeep Garage. My dealer told me when I ordered on 9/22 that it would take three to four months. Thanksgiving would put it at three months, Christmas at 4 months. So I figured if I get it before Christmas I'll be happy.

I did however sign up on the cryptostickers. So early Tuesday morning I got an email with my build sheet. Now I am waiting on an email that the window sticker has been issued. As a result I now check daily for the window sticker, OK, actually multiple times daily.

Watching my future Wrangler sit in every stage along the way would drive me absolutely insane! I understand everyone who has signed up and gets to watch their new toy along the way, but for me, sometimes not knowing is better.
I couldn't agree more. My dealer told me about 6-8 weeks, assuming thats from when the builds started. Puts me somewhere between Thanksgiving and Christmas. If it starts going longer, I will be annoyed, but there isn't anything I can do about it unless I find exactly what I want already built. Knowing a build code won't change anything. If it is waiting on shipping, what am I going to do, tell the dealer I'll buy more Jeeps so the truck ships?

I can't help but think when I read some of these posts that some people will never be satisfied, causing themselves needless heartache. I imagine people yelling at their computer screens because nothing has changed in their build in 3 hours. It seems like some people are concerned about their welds or steering but want FCA to just gloss over or skip inspections. People are being overly critical of a complex process they don't understand. I get it, people want their new toy, but need to have realistic expectations also. I do understand the frustration for people who had 2018 "complications". Ordering a $35k-$55k Jeep isn't the same as ordering the latest gadget from Amazon.

It would be great if you could check the status online, but I guess that might set some people up for disappointment also. FCA doesn't build all the parts themselves. They often have to wait on shipments, and if a vendor misses a shipment, things will slide.

There is no sense is stressing out about something I can't control.

This is my fourth order of a JL. Being inspected now, built 11\2. Was hoping to get it in November but unless it fails it will likely be December.

Inspection day 7 for me. :(
I’m right above you in JS which they say could be detailed inspection, don’t you love seeing the same status every day...

I was told by James in Jeep Chat that my Jeep (among others) got randomly selected for a more detailed quality control inspection. I'm thinking this is why a few Jeeps have been stuck in I status.....

IF that is true (and we all know that 10 different Jeep chats can produce 10 different answers), then I don't necessarily have a problem with that. Yes, I want my Jeep yesterday but please do a good inspection and don't rush through it. And by all means please check the welds.

That’s probably possible but it’s also well documented in another thread that inspection status means something was wrong on the build. Could be something as easy as a sheared bolt as it was being assembled. But that the backlog of vehicles waiting for inspection/repair can be around 2500 deep. We’re stuck waiting for the repair shop.

I’m going on day 11 in inspection so I doubt it’s just for quality control. There’s also people who were inspection for weeks and eventually had their build fail and a new one put through the assembly line.

Hopefully they start moving them soon.

Seems really odd so many from the same day would be stuck in I. Multiple builds on JG from 11/10, 2 doors and 4, Rubicon and Sahara.

I am one of those from 11/10 still stuck in I. I think most of the ones from 11/10 started out as I. However, I noticed the other day that many of them moved out of I to JB, JS, or KZ.

I’ve been in I since 11/1.
