The wife recently picked up a 2022 JLU Sahara about 5-6 weeks ago. 29k miles, 2.0. One thing we've noticed is that the auto stop / start isn't functional (I'm not complaining, but it is odd). You can push the button and it lights up like normal, but it doesn't actually do anything and the Jeep never auto stops / starts at any point no matter whether the button is pushed or not. I've looked into several things (wearing seatbelt, sensor under hood, etc), but none check out. Anything else to check to make sure there isn't something physically wrong?
The previous owner could have turned it off, with one of the programmers. It happened to ours. Fortunately the previous owner provided the programmer when I purchased it.

If there are no messages on your display and youbare 100% there is NOT an eliminator plugged in under your dash... then CHARGE BOTH BATTERIES SEPARATELY... turn air condition, heater, defroster
.. basically all "gadgets "... and try again, willing to bet it will work.

FYI : There is a list of 100+ reasons the ESS will disable itself... some are really strange.

Take it to the dealer if still under factory warranty. I just did with mine and they replaced both batteries. I don't hate the feature; I do like seeing 20+ MPG average and from what I have noticed it provides +1 MPG for my driving and my Jeep.

I’d call that a feature. First thing I installed in both Jeeps was a Z-Tazer that remembers where you left the ESS button. One of the dumber things that has been introduced in vehicles.
