Stop radio (XM) from auto-playing upon start?

Just as many folks are annoyed by having to immediately turn off ASS each time they start their Jeep, I'm frustrated that my radio auto-plays each time I start my Jeep. I'm often hooking up a trailer, dealing with my toddler, backing out of a tight garage, or typing in navigation right when the music decides to turn on. I simply want to CHOOSE to listen to the radio and not have my Jeep assume that I want XM to play instantly every time I start my Jeep. I have found that even if I "mute" prior to shutdown, the radio will still play on the next start.

A clunky work around is to remember to have volume turned down to zero upon shutdown.

Any ideas to help me?

I feel your pain. I have been thinking about disconnecting the XM antenna in the hope it solves this issue.
