Good afternoon @JLWF Dealer Guy! I spoke with Jeep Customer Care because the amount of orders piling up in JB had me a bit curious as to why. Heather says the hard tops are back ordered until mid-March and to talk to our dealer about it. What are your thoughts? What are our options at this point? We can’t change an order past D. Can they ship it with the soft top and ship the hard top later? Thank you :)
Smarrrtarze :), Did Heather offer that info, or did she kinda latch on to something you suggested? Did you order a black or color keyed top?

Neither. She told me not to believe the forums. (Insert eye-roll since we are fricking smart) So, I asked her to tell me what was holding up the order. I was on hold for 5 minutes and then she came back and told me that the hard top was back ordered until mid-March. I ordered the black hard top. Some of us were wondering if possibly they found a defect of some sort with the hard top and are fixing it. Purely speculation, but who knows?

@JLWF Dealer Guy how can I make sure that I'm dealing with a person who can actually offer me a good deal and not an idiot who doesn't know what's going on? Should their title be internet sales manager?

Those guys usually end up being the most informed and knowledgeable people in the dealership. That's a good way to start. The desk managers are lazy and don't keep up on product knowledge for the most part. The only other people than the internet guys are fanatics, or the guy who places the orders for the most part.

I'm struggling with a deal on a JLU Sahara. I used the Lease calculator that others have been using for direction.
MSRP: 49,600
Desired selling price: 45,000
Rate Quoted: 0.00135
Term: 39 months
Residual 67%
Tax rate 5.1%
Fees~ $175 doc plus 695 acq plus dmv....~$1000 total
Trade Differential: -5400 (ouch! But currently leased car; 4 others came to same differene)
Total Cash up front: $3100

Hes' saying $625/month. He notes MRM which he is saying is $47,700. So the difference is largely that versus my desired selling price.

Thought's on this?

THANKS!

@JLWF Dealer Guy I have a question for you. I was given a bill of sale in January when I ordered my Jeep with a price including my down payment. My Jeep will arrive today at 4 pm and now my salesman is saying my bill of sale was a mistake. They want me to pay $1500 more than my bill of sale. Essentially paying for the tax, tag, and title twice. What should I do?

From your calculations I come up with $579 a month roughly. at a 47700 sell price I see $659 a month. MRM? Additionally, your inequity is the issue bumping this up.

It does appear that they did screw it up. If you originally agree on the $46069 +++, don't fight them on it. Basically from what I see here, they are making $0 on the sale of the Jeep. invoice - HB. Not the best deal posted here, but fair. They technically don't have to sell you the Jeep. Was that the agreed price?

Bummer. Sorry to hear.

Steve White Jeep, Mike Jones, bait and switched me in the negotiations phase. Mike kept saying that "we have to make a profit, bla ,bla, bla". Lot's of people from this forum still trust these guys.

Yes I Agree on inequity. MRM I looked up as Maximum Residualized MSRP. It feels like they are getting well over invoice when it should be well below and they are hiding behind that MRM or whatever games.

I don't use lenders that use this MRM, have them check to see if there is another option.

They were matching a Koons offer of $46,069.10 plus ttt -$750 for my tdm and affiliate discount. Then when I got the bill of sale it said $46,069.10 which was including the tax, tag, title which is what i put the $1000 down on.
