Here it is: https://www.chryslerwarrantydirect.com/warranty_plans/maximum_care?_vsrefdom=warranty&iv_=__iv_p_1_a_1012450774_g_53545892841_c_237928682324_k_+chrysler +warranty_m_b_w_kwd-351660405074_n_g_d_c_v__l__t__r_1t1_x__y__f__o__z__i__j__s__e_25854853165_h_9016093_ii__vi__&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkZHTBRCBARIsAMbXLhGip3zrM_GujpUlEjFilTUp7m2frvFtn1PAWPgSvMNKtOpYaSGg2XUaAs9iEALw_wcB

They told me it was not transferrable, but I just read there that it is, one time, for a 50 dollar fee. That is GREAT!

It also includes a list of what IS covered, and it is a LOT. Including things like ball joints, which cost me about 400 bucks on my JK, so that right there would have saved me 200. These things add up, and I especially like it since the electronics are so complicated in the JL. I'm like you, I'm keeping this bad boy for a LONG time, and I look at it like an insurance policy. An engine replacement in one of these at a dealership could get upwards of 10 grand. The transmission in my JK would have been 4 grand, had it not been covered.

Click on free quote and you'll see other options. A zero deductible lifetime warranty for just the powertrane would have been $1500, which I think is a good deal.
I thought I read on there that transferring it is excluded for lifetime plans. That is a bummer, but it makes sense I guess.

Oh well, I must have missed that. Not a problem, as I don't plan on selling this thing until it croaks. Same with my JK.

If you don’t mind telling us, how much did you pay for the warranty and with what deductible? I tend not to get warranty’s but would also like to hear what @JLWF Dealer Guy thinks
I paid about 2500. I would have gone for the powertrain only, with no deductible, if it weren't for all the electronics and complexity of the JL compared to my 08 JK. There was nothing to that old 3.8, Lol!

I was also looking at a $13k bill for replacing the Ecoboost on my Ford Transit. That wasn't an issue that would have been covered, but it drove home the cost of a modern engine. I'm sure the 3.6 isn't as expensive, and probably can be done in fewer hours, but you'd still be pushing $10k, I believe.

The deal with that Transit, btw, was caused by an oil change shop that put a new oil filter on over the old oil filter's gasket, which caused a catastrophic leak when oil pressure rose for normal driving. It pumped all the oil out, and then ran on no oil for awhile. It amazes me it didn't seize up. It might have run 100 miles that way, or more. Anyway, the shop owner is a stand up guy and he took responsibility. His insurance is footing the bill for our Ford dealer to replace the entire engine, including turbos, with a Ford factory remanufactured engine. $13,000 dollars! I'm feeling VERY lucky. Those cases can be hard to prove. What breaks my heart is the care I put into that engine. Nothing but Mobil 1 EP 5w30 and excellent filters. It should have gone 300k miles. Oh well. We'll see if we can get the new engine there.

Dealer Guy. Is the premium tan soft top in production yet? If not when?

Thank you. What deductible did you take?

@JLWF Dealer Guy I’m looking to order the JLU within the next 2 months or so but had some questions. Sorry for the long winded post.

I was told and I saw online that a lifted kit would be available this year. Is this true and when is it available?

Is the 2.0 engine really available for ordering in February? I heard late this year but I saw on another thread next month. Anyone know the MPG difference?

The power top looks cool but I heard it’s not easily removable and really meant to stay on all year round as an alternative to switching to a soft top in nice weather and putting it down.

Thanks in advance!

$200, because I can always find 200 bucks.
Thank you again. Looking online on the Chrysler site I found a similar price $2,690 hoping that dealers will sell it for less then the online or is that just wishful thinking ( kinda like thinking my JL that is still in D1 will be shipped by the eta date 1/23

That’s a good question. Do dealers negotiate on the pricing of the MaxCare warranty? Thanks @DanW for the great information. I hadn’t considered the warranty in the final pricing.

I can only give you the Canadian experience but I extended my Mopar factory warranty on my 2013 JKU for two extra years and for the exact same "Gold" warranty (which is basically an extension of the bumper to bumper factory warranty) it was $800 CDN cheaper just by playing one dealer off another!..Can't remember the exact total but was something like $1700 compared to $2500 quoted by the first dealer,I assume they have a retail profit margin they can play with and as all the warranty work is refunded by Chrysler they discounted it and hoped the work they would do over the two year period would pay them back the lost up front profit,(IF I did the work at that dealer!) I am sure others have much more experience of how this works.

Good morning @JLWF Dealer Guy. I’ve posted in the Tread Lightly forum with my dilemma. My welcome letter doesn’t include the Chrysler Affiliates Rewards program, but instead a tires discount program. I paid the $100 fee and I’ve emailed Mandy at Tread Lightly. Do you think I have anything to be concerned about or is it possible that I was simply sent the wrong letter? The front of the letter does include a membership number. What are your thoughts?

@JLWF Dealer Guy I ordered the all weather mats and did not realize that they do not include the carpet mats, is my dealer able to get the carpet mats for me? What are the chances of making that happen?

@JLWF Dealer Guy, good evening. I tend to keep vehicles for a very long time. I have only had two vehicles in the last 24 years. This JLUR will be the most money I have ever spent on a vehicle. The MaxCare Lifetime Warranty seems like an obvious buy for my situation. I have read posts where you suggested an exclusionary warranty and this seems to be one. If you don’t mind, please tell me what your honest thoughts are about this warranty and it’s value. I qualify for EP on the vehicle. Does this carry over to the warranty? Thanks in advance for whatever information and knowledge you can offer.
The EP doesn't carry over to the warranty but I'm a huge fan of the extended warranties in general. I also, while not expecting any issues with the JL, think any first adopters especially if they plan on keeping this Jeep for a long time, should invest in protection for themselves to make sure something doesn't need figured out.

I asked my dealer this same question and he said the carper mats are not available yet.

I'd like to know who we can contact about the carpet mats not coming with the Wrangler if you order the all weather mat's. the build does nto show removal of the carpet mats when getting the all weather maps. There is no discount by getting the all weather mats and then not getting the carpet mats. I'm in D1 and was told I can't make a change now to remove the all weather mats

Once you receive your membership, it will have a date on it. You have to be a member for 30 days. The affiliate program is a huge list of over 7000 companies (including Tread Lightly) in it. You simply have to show that you are a member and the dealer can use that when configuring your rebate sheet.
