I thought I read on there that transferring it is excluded for lifetime plans. That is a bummer, but it makes sense I guess. Here it is: https://www.chryslerwarrantydirect.com/warranty_plans/maximum_care?_vsrefdom=warranty&iv_=__iv_p_1_a_1012450774_g_53545892841_c_237928682324_k_+chrysler +warranty_m_b_w_kwd-351660405074_n_g_d_c_v__l__t__r_1t1_x__y__f__o__z__i__j__s__e_25854853165_h_9016093_ii__vi__&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkZHTBRCBARIsAMbXLhGip3zrM_GujpUlEjFilTUp7m2frvFtn1PAWPgSvMNKtOpYaSGg2XUaAs9iEALw_wcB
They told me it was not transferrable, but I just read there that it is, one time, for a 50 dollar fee. That is GREAT!
It also includes a list of what IS covered, and it is a LOT. Including things like ball joints, which cost me about 400 bucks on my JK, so that right there would have saved me 200. These things add up, and I especially like it since the electronics are so complicated in the JL. I'm like you, I'm keeping this bad boy for a LONG time, and I look at it like an insurance policy. An engine replacement in one of these at a dealership could get upwards of 10 grand. The transmission in my JK would have been 4 grand, had it not been covered.
Click on free quote and you'll see other options. A zero deductible lifetime warranty for just the powertrane would have been $1500, which I think is a good deal.
