Hi Dealer Guy, on a Rubicon do you always get the axillary switches or only with the towing package?

Just with the towing package. They can be added later by the dealer though.

This is correct. I imagine adding after the labor charge is going to be a pretty costly one though since they would have to run the wiring through the firewall. Some of that stuff is hard to do. There are vehicles out there where adding a simple remote start is so time consuming that the part is relatively inexpensive but the actual installation is 3-4 times as much in cost. Of course that is at the dealership and you could do yourself, but, you have to decide if you want it under warranty. Electrical is nothing to mess around with if you don't know what you are doing. My advise, get it from the factory with the tow group.

I have not seen this in our GC. Where do you think that is in the Uconnect system? Or are you referring to the Engine off options, which sets how long power continues to radio, lights, etc. after Engine is turned off? I think you can set 0s or 45s up to maybe 10 min.
Ok, this is what the guy found, but looking at the comments, it says it doesn't work. I'll share anyway.

1. Go to Apps on the Uconnect screen.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Go to Engine Off Options.
4. Go to Engine Off Power Delay
5. Set it to 10 minutes, which is the maximum setting.

We'll have to look at the menu on the JL. Maybe they'll give us the option to shut it down. We'll see.

Here is the video link:

Sorry for the false hope.

Well thanks for following up. Yeah sadly that is not it. That's the setting I explained.

Hi Jeep Dealer,

Question in regards to ordering timing, if you can answer.

So I ordered a Rubicon a few days after the order banks opened, and my Von went to D1 pretty quickly. I believe it was #10 or so on Jay's tracking sheet.

There's a few more options that I'd like to select now that we have more info, and I'm going to call my dealer to place another order and let them sell my original order on the floor.

So my question is.. #1 Do you think the dealer will have a problem with this? I'm sure they'd sell my order #1 in a few days or hours, as it was the first order at the dealership. And #2 How much longer do you think I'll have to wait if I place an order tomorrow? ( my original order was 10/28).

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't be upset, I'd just order you a new one. As far as how much time difference it would make, impossible to say. We have had orders in there for some time without D1 showing. Then again, added one ordered on 12/1 and 4 days later, boom, it shows D1. No rhyme or reason here.

Hi Jeep Dealer,
Someone claimed today they could order a Sahara with Selectrac. Can you confirm? And if thats true, my real question is, can you get Selectrac with the manual transmission? Thats the config I'm interested in. Thanks!

No can do on that one. It isn't a selectable option on a Manual transmission, but, it does show up in the system under it. I assume that is because they are being lazy. But, I have been wrong before.

The online build tool has always sucked and never seems up to date. If I can't click it in the internal order system, you can't get it. I don't see it happening.

I posted this in a new thread but I probably should’ve asked this here...
What mopar accessories can we order now if any?
I know the lift is in March, maybe some of the other items sooner?

Also in regards to swapping tires...can I order tires from the dealer? Or is it best to buy then sell your 33s on Craigslist or something?

Looking into it, none of the ā€œMoparā€ accessories are available to order now. There are some parts available from the source but can’t go there, sorry. You can get tires from the dealership. I do recommend Discount Tires if there is one in your area. Or, make the dealership match their price, they can. With the dealership you are not likely to get a credit for your tires. With places like DT, you can work that in.
