Every after purchase Mopar accessory I have seen, aside from a hand full, is more than if you were to order it from the factory. You can roll that accessory into your deal if you like and tell them you want the regular one back to sell on your own.Generally if there is one on the lot that has that option, we very rarely swap them out as it messes up the Window Sticker compared to what you really get. The other part of this is if you want them to install it or you do it yourself. The Labor charged is stupid for things like that. Sales and Service are separate. I've been quoted 4 hours labor to swap 2 hard tops. Had 2 guys who know what they are doing do it in 15 minutes instead.
Since Sales & Service are separate, are you ever able to negotiate on the labor or does the Service guy get to charge what he wants to charge? I know everything is negotiable to some extent I just want to know what I should expect if it comes to that.

On a JLU I would probably just factory order but if I can't get what I want I may get a JKU off a lot and flip it when the right JLU option comes along.

Edit: Never mind. I just checked and the Premium soft top that costs $595 from the factory costs $1,990 for the Mopar part. Not doing that.

Even I can't negotiate labor. Our dealership charges by the "book hours" so if Mopar says it takes 2 hours to install side steps, they charge us 2 hours even if it really only takes 15 minutes. The tech gets paid for 2 hours labor and moves onto his next project.

You can order the dual top option. I asked awhile back, and was told the premium soft top comes standard on the Rubicon, or in the dual top package with the Rubicon.

I’m hoping you can help!

I placed my order 12/3 VON: 40600501

I called my dealer Saturday to add the hard top headliner. He told me he couldn’t add to my order and he couldn’t cancel so he was going to place a second order with the headliner. So I have a VON: 40703696
on this second order. It seems strange that the system would allow 2 orders. Can you help me understand this? Is there a way to add theheadliner to the 12/3 order so I don’t lose myplace in line? Many thanks for any help or insight you can provide.

Whoa...I didn't address when, because I don't know about that. I know nothing about when dual tops are available for the 2 door, only that the soft top with it (Rubicon) will be premium. Dealer Guy will have to chime in on that. Sorry if I added to any confusion.

Did I hear that correctly? 12/13 for Ocean Blue??? If so, what are the odds of being able to change an order in D1?

they will release pricing on 12/13 (Dec 13, 2017) and hopefully more info in regards to colors, rims and so on....
And I hope a better brochure along with the above.

Ocean Blue is in the order system but grayed out so we can't actually order it yet but I am checking all the time as I have people waiting for it.

We hear 12/13. The Brochure is available on Jeep.com right now. They have gotten away from printing most of them for retail.

They probably don't know it can be done or they don't know how to do it.

I received a new build sheet today with my VIN but there are a couple of strange changes I hope you could clarify for me. I have an email in to my dealer but I haven't heard back yet.

My new build has added 'NAS - 50 State Emissions'
and removed '125 - Zone 25-Canada-Alberta'

What are the significance of those options? I am in Canada FYI

Sometimes they can call the regional rep and get it added. If they are unwilling, just order again is my advise
