Yes, all the controls, except the horn, go trough the SCCM but is litterfall a small board that can be relocated anywhere once that module is torn apart (or anything can be used as long as it's connected in the can with the right commands).
I made up a connector for the steering wheel button...
Sorry.
No, I am keeping the steering column (for now).
I need the wipers, lights and turn signal switches.
If down the road I come up with, or I find, a nice setup for the switches I need, I might remove it completely.
The steering angle sensor is in the steering column.
All the clock spring does is carry the connection for the buttons in your steering wheel and airbag (and I have a work around for that).
As of now I have removed the gear in the steering column for the steering wheel position so supposedly is...
Yes, I am aware and for what I am using the Jeep, I do not need it.
I do not have a Steering position sensor, I have remove the gear at 0 degrees (for now) but I will try and install it again and see what happens.
I do not have a steering box/mechanical steering so the "rotation" position of...
Yes, thank you.
I do have the Tazer and I have the electric power steering pump disabled.
But I do not have hydro assist, I went a different direction.
My "fight" now is with the steering angle position / check engine lights because of that that...and I do not want to have them.
Let's say my steering setup is non conventional.
"Old Jeep JK", with non conventional steering it was not an issue...
JL, on the other hand it is and it is a problem.
ABS malfunction = check engine light.
SCCM = check engine light.
The only way for me to know in what kind of "trouble" I was...
Well...I have most of the things on order...
I will help as much as I can.
My goal is to change my steering column/steering sensor and have it elsewhere or completely replaced by something else....we will see how far I go with this.
Everyone here did an amazing job!
I am about to join this project, the only question I have now is what are the best connectors to use?
Do you guys have both part numbers for the CAN-C and CAN-IHS if I want to get these from Mopar?
Thank you
Nico
I am not sure but what about a Rubicon takeoff kit?
You should be able to get springs/shocks for fairly cheap I think.
Not sure how much lift that will give you, try to search in here.
I have a Hard Top for Sale.
It's been sitting in my garage for almost two years now.
There are 0 parts broken.
It does have some pinstriping from branches on the side and the top.
Comes with both freedom panels and the bag for them.
The panels have a few deeper scratches, A few times I just...
