Anyone have an idea when the JLUs are expected to be start to be delivered? My Cherokee lease is up in January and trying to get into a '18 JLU if possible. Thank you!
Mytop, the powered retractable convertible top company is shipping out all the preorders on Jan 15th, so assuming they have insider knowledge since they obviously needed the JLU dimensions/CAD to make th JLU top in the first place

Hi -I ordered my JLU Sahara - I have a question. I included the Electronic Infotainment Sys Group (sales code AEK). My dealer says that includes the Alpine Premium Audio System (sales code RC4). My POC is attached. Can you confirm that is correct? Thank you!!!
Should include it. Selecting the EIS grays out the alpine meaning it is included even though not showing on the POC.

@JLWF Dealer Guy When I asked for an update on my order they sent me a screenshot with my Order confirmation sheet and the 24G customer Preferred Package was highlighted and indicated that the highlighted line = restriction. I saw that someone else on here had the same on their order sheet, do you know what that means? Wondering if that is what is holding up getting a VIN number, 2 1/2 weeks and still no VIN number assigned.

There are three Schedules, see below. If ordered when the vehicle was scheduled out, it will have to wait. It means they have met the amount of vehicles ordered for a specific package.

@JLWF Dealer Guy Okay, thanks. It was highlighted yellow, does that make a difference?

Looking at the order guide the 24G is the Sahara trim with Automatic transmission.
As the automatic transmission doesnt seem to be a restriction overall it looks like the Sahara trim is causing the delay.

That would make sense why there are no Saharas yet on the tracking form, but I believe some said their Sahara is in D1 status but haven't been added to D1 yet on the tracking sheet. If it is on hold because of Selec Trac being standard on the Sahara, I can be patient for a very short while. :fingerscrossed:

Just curious does colour choice factor into build times ? Are certain colours built at certain times of the month . Maybe colour has nothing to do with build times .

There was mention that once the JL is released, the JK would be “heavily discounted”

Do we have any insite on what that more specifically means and when that might happen?

I have no inside info, but I doubt it, if demand remains strong. Jeep has arranged the dual production to make sure volume stays high and that they don't lose revenue in the transition. Really, I think the way they are managing this is absolutely brilliant, financially. Most peoplwon't know the difference, anyway, and if someone wants better mileage or some of the new features, they can quickly and easily be steered toward the JL. If someone just wants a nice Jeep and a deal, and isn't focused on a specific feature, the JK is right there. Some may just prefer the interior on the JK, too, with them being so different.

If demand for the JK tapers off, I'll bet we see incentives introduced quickly. I do know that dealerships in my area are more willing to deal on JKs than before, because inventory is high. When I bought my JK in 07, they were hard to get. Especially Rubicons, so you couldn't buy one then for below sticker. In fact, I was lucky to get one even for sticker.

JLWF Dealer Guy know of upcoming incentives to move JK's and keep sales volume up better than I.

Some people tend to scoff at Jeep, but they do a great many things very well. They've absolutely nailed it on most things on the JK, and have set the goal to address its shortcomings in the JL, without screwing it up. Time will tell, but I won't buy any bar stool talk from arm chair quarterbacks that somehow think they could have done better. Jeep is a hot commodity, and is fully in growth mode. That's a successful company. Jeep is FCA's life blood right now, and it is thriving. Hard to knock what they've done. I think tomorrow we're going to learn about attention to detail that far exceeds anything we've ever seen in a Jeep. Heck, the evolution of the JK shows that. The 2017's have so many little thoughtful features that didn't exist when I bought my 08.

I have my doubts on this. Currently, a JK can be had for a very fair price if you look around. The last time I remember the Wrangler rebates / incentives change was in 2015 and they took rebates AWAY, not added. There once was a lease conquest rebate and that is now gone. All that remains is Military and Affiliates. The only thing that could happen is they actually put a rebate on the Wrangler. But, I seriously doubt it. It is going to be a bit before the JL stock gets to the point where there may be a carry over on the JK so If you are looking for a deal on a JK, go now while there is still stock that you may like available.
