Roger that. Thank you! Now I'm hoping it will be delayed waiting for a truck, so I don't sit around stressing for a couple days about strangers test driving my car. I really need to do something about this excessive paranoia...
Agreed, No dealer should ever let a sold order be test driven. I have never heard of it, but, there are some idiots out there.

Question regarding Tread Lightly...

Looking at the tracking progress, it looks like my Jeep may very well be delivered in about 25-26 days total. This puts me prior to the 30 day requirement for Tread Lightly, as I joined just a couple days prior to ordering. I understand this is a firm requirement.

So, my question is... Is the discount available on the 30th day of membership or after 30 full days have passed. For example, if I joined on the 1st of a given month, would I be able to use it on the 30th, or the 31st?

My real world situation: my first day of membership is listed as Feb 13, 2018, and it looks like my Jeep may be at the dealership as early as tomorrow. 30th day is March 14, but 30 full days have elapsed on March 15. Yes, one extra day might very well kill me. :)
Mine showed and sat on the lot 2 days since it showed when I was at work. If the discount is worth a lot of $, just wait a day or so to get it if they can’t figure it out.

hello I am in a heartbroken position here. have wanted an orange jeep for 30 years. finally in the financial stability to get one. ordered a jlu with all the bells n whistles on 2/28.
today i saw pics posted here of the punk'n jeeps.Heartbroken is an understatement. Its mostly red and commenters claim "not metallic at all" i now want to cancel my order and reorder when mojito is available.how can they make the color not even close to the renderings and chip boards at the auto shows? do u think i would lose my deposit if i do this. wow what a shock for me.

Orange is a very hard color to capture in a photo let alone looking at the photo on a computer screen. From what I have heard by people that have seen in person it is a real orange, no red, and it is impressive.

I would not cancel your order. You don't have to buy it if it comes in and you hate it. I cannot imagine a dealer not working with you at that point to get you a Mojito if you really hate the orange in person.

It’s up to the agreement you and your dealer made. Check with them. See the Punk’n first.

Having never purchased a new vehicle nor dealt with a dealership at all, I'm mostly concerned with the price negotiation. Unfortunately, I got sucked in by test driving a fully loaded Rubicon and placed an order for nearly the same build, without much negotiation whatsoever. The only price I got was on a sheet that said "This is not an invoice" which seems to be a good thing. When would you consider negotiations to be final? I can't imagine it costs the dealer anything to order a sold JL.

If they're not offering you 5% below invoice, then I'd see if you can negotiate or cancel the order. There are too many dealers offering 5% below invoice pricing to settle for anything more.

we never really discussed cancelling.im sure its in the small print. Only put down 500. I see many here did 1000. can't imagine waiting all this time and then being disappointed with the color.most worrisome is the 'no metallic' I've been seeing. also my dealer has kind of decided im no longer a customer since signing on the dotted line.doesnt return my calls.very unfortunate.

When I placed my order it was a $500.00 deposit. I signed the order sheet showing me what my trade in is and what my price is.

After all of this my dealer on his own stated "If something changes in the value of JKs and they go up we'll work with you. If the value goes down you are locked in at the price we offered. If you change your mind on the Jeep you ordered when it arrives we'll work something out with you. We don't want to keep your deposit and have you be unhappy."

You said they are not returning your calls. If they don't return your calls take a ride over and have a face to face with them. I would have an uneasy feeling if they were not returning my calls. Good luck.
