I posted on the PUNK'N thread, but maybe someone on here would know. Jeep chat told me yesterday that the production of PUNK'N is pushed back to early-April. This is the response I got from Sarah when I got escalated due to being in "D" since 2/2.

"this is the update that I have for you Consumers vehicle was ordered in the Punk'n Metallic which is not slated to begin production until early-April. We would encourage consumer to contact us back in late-April for an update"

I don't quite understand why I am getting delayed when people who ordered after me have already gotten their PUNK'N delivered.

Has anyone else gotten the same information? @JLWF Dealer Guy ?? She also said the Ocean Blue had been pushed back as well.
I do not call or check with JeepChat. I have a friend that works at FCA corporate that checks my status. He told me yesterday that my original scheduled build date of 3/26 had been pushed to 4/9. He does not have insight into why this date was changed but mine was also pushed and I ordered Punk'n as well as premium soft top.

Can you give your 2 cents on All-terrain vs. All-season tires for jeep that will be a daily driver. Only regular off-road stuff presently are dirt roads up in Maine during summer and winter (ie. can have fair amount of snow, etc, but not rock crawling).
How much noisier will all-terrain be and are all-terrain worse in the rain than all-season?

Go all terrain. For sure. The noise is going to be basically the same.

Nothing very constructive in this post! but an example of why they are still promoting on the website the off road pages on the head unit when 2018's will no longer get them,or why you can see different choices and prices in the dealer system compared to what the configurator shows! In the Canadian Configurator, which has only been live for the JL for 2 weeks, has the "Sky power soft top w/1 touch" $3995,which is not showing as an option on the US site(as far as I can tell!) ....the Canadian site also does not show Ocean Blue or Sting Gray as a colour option even though I have actually ordered both colours in the last 2 weeks(Gray was released the day after I ordered blue!) this is why we have to take all the "Jeep chat" statements about hard top colour releases and other production issues, with a decent dose of salt,I really do not think they are given solid information to relay but have to say something!...:please:

Yes dual top group upgrades the standard soft top with the premium soft top made out of cloth. Standard is made out of vinyl.

The duel top automatically gets the premium soft top and this will save you money

@JLWF Dealer Guy When I ordered my Jeep on 3/4, I got the black hard top. I want to get the premium soft top as well. Any idea when those will be available for purchase separately or would it be better to go ahead and change to the dual top group. Also, if I change to the dual top would that delay my order any?

Thanks!

1. They won’t be available until they get caught up on everything. 2. Dual Tops are delayed because even they are waiting on Premium Soft Tops to come in...
So you have two options:
A: Get Hard Top and wait to pay more later for the Premium Soft Top
Or
B: Get Dual Top and pay less overall, but have to wait on the Premium Soft Top and your Jeep

In my opinion, I would not make decisions on parts delays. It changes almost every week and there are exceptions and misinformation. I would get what you want and just understand it may be a month one way or another.

If it were me I would get the dual-top group if you want both. it will save you about $1,000 in the long run and you will have everything you want when the Jeep is delivered.

Do you ever sleep??? Thanks for the quick reply. I’m hoping to get mine before a beach trip in July, so I think I’ll just wait on the top and pay the extra $$$ when they come out. Hopefully, it won’t take to long. Thanks!

First time poster even though I have been reading since February. I was originally thinking of a Red Rubicon but the Mojito really stole the show for me. The "delayed" release of Mojito has been commented about for quite a while and a lot of discussion has been on when the anticipated release date will be. I have searched all the threads about Mojito but to the best of my knowledge I have not see anyone ask the question of "why as the release of Mojito has taken place?" This might be a Jeep Cares question but thought Ask a Jeep Dealer Thread would be a good place to start.
