Is it better not to have the CV front shafts?
Sponsored
Better is debatable, but they are not as strong or reliable when compared to regular joints. Rubber boots like to crack and then the joints can go bad quicker when exposed to the elements. Proper maintenance and inspection prevents this of course, but they require more attention and care than your standard joint shafts. Is it better not to have the CV front shafts?
Oh.I knew that but i want the auto without the remote starter as it is illegal here in Milwaukee to have the car on while I'm away from it.
You are correct in your assumption. The stupid dealer websites are tied into things like cars.com, autotrader, etc. It's also probably on the dealers website. It's one of those things that seems like it would be an easy fix, but it's more like...@JLWF Dealer Guy I have a question good sir. I found my ordered Jeep listed on Autotrader this morning and it got me nervous (and admittedly slightly ticked off at first). But I thought about it and figured this is some automated thing since Jeep and their dealers work in tandem with various websites. Can you confirm this is an automated thing or is my being ticked off warranted and I should be calling my dealer asking why my Jeep that has a paid deposit on it is advertised for sale? My price, my dealer, and my VIN are listed.
It does match up to the fact that my Jeep was just rail loaded so I am really hoping its automated...cause I really like my dealer lol

Hey Jeepsmashing!Okay i added the cold weather group in my build and they also give me a price.
"Your price would be $44,426 plus $399 Doc plus $29.25 title plus tax.'
How does this build look? Is it 6% under invoice? Fees priced right? I also noticed the electric infotainment group is $200 cheaper on the jeep website. Im also out of state (ca) so I'll pay taxes and title later right?
I'm almost ready to put my deposit down just need to give the questions about straighten out. Thanks guys

I have to mention to her again that I'm a tread lightly member, another member on here that refered me to her got 7% under invoice. I was supposed to get the same deal as him. I will contact her tomorrow.Hey Jeepsmashing!
I live about 2 or 3 miles away from Jim Marsh. This jeep dealer has been charging for markups on their other vehicles. (they have no JLs on site) The dealer across the street (Prestige) has a 4500 Mark up plus other bogus dealer add-ons. No joke. I did some calculations on your post and i calculated you are getting a little less than 4.5% below invoice, which isn't bad. However, member JL_Wrangler was about to contact Mariana from Jim Marsh and received a 7.5% below invoice price which I believe he used the tread lightly discount as well.
My 7.5% calculation didn’t include the doc/fees. Adding those in my price is around 6.5%. Your build is a little better than 5% under invoice before adding the fees which really can’t be beat by anyone in SoCal, I tried lol.Okay i added the cold weather group in my build and they also give me a price.

Seems to me the dealers in your area are pathetic. If someone calls me and asks for that, I'd have a price and build sent to you in less than 30 minutes. All mopar dealer installed items are covered. Should be no issue at all. Damn, you are looking to spend some cheddar, they should be jumping on that!Dealer guy,
Thanks for helping us all here, your posts are a great help.. The dealers in my area Crown in Ventura and Shaver in Thousand Oaks seem to be having trouble getting me answers or they are just too busy...
The config I want is pretty simple:
JL white Rubi, 2 " lift, 35" tires, heavyduty tire mount, v6+auto, LED, cold weather pkg, hard top, wheel lock rims, and a life time warranty..
I have told them, I expect the life warranty to cover all items as ordered.. meaning I don't want hem saying "well the trans is out of warrenty because you placed 35" and a 2" lift kit.."
As soon as I say that.. "well let me check on that" and the phone stops ringing..
Is there anything stopping a single order - invoice on something like this?
Seems to me combining Mopar accessories and Jeep orders as one package seems to cause lots of hesitation.
Any thoughts?
TC
I really love how blunt @JLWF Dealer Guy is in his responses. :cwl:Seems to me the dealers in your area are pathetic.
