Because not all of the lazy people get to work at McDonalds! Some have to take their lack of skills and motivation to other job locations!@JLWF Dealer Guy This is something you have taught me, isn't it crazy that a salesmen would tell him that? and what would the advantage be to the salesmen, if any, to not creating a sold order but wait to sell him from allocation? the more sold orders rather that the allocation orders, the more allocation they will get for the good models no? unless they have trouble just shifting their allocation, which based on the skills of that salesman might be the case!...![]()
My guess is they have one guy that puts in the orders and they just add the Sold Orders to his regular stack and don't think about it much.@JLWF Dealer Guy why would a dealer want to wait to place an order?? Thank you for your help!
Likely this is a management issue. The only other thing that this could be is that FCA slaps some dealers on the wrist and takes away their sold order option for a probationary period till they get their shit straight. Basically the got caught doing something not favorable to FCA.@JLWF Dealer Guy This is something you have taught me, isn't it crazy that a salesmen would tell him that? and what would the advantage be to the salesmen, if any, to not creating a sold order but wait to sell him from allocation? the more sold orders rather that the allocation orders, the more allocation they will get for the good models no? unless they have trouble just shifting their allocation, which based on the skills of that salesman might be the case!...![]()
If you wait for an allocation order, you could be waiting longer than if you placed one. Unless, it has already been built and is an in transit unit, I always say to just order it up.@JLWF Dealer Guy another question, if the dealer uses one of their allocated jeeps for my order, does FCA put a priority on building that Jeep over a customer ordered Jeep? Or it doesn't matter?
The dealership has also said that Wranglers are on order restriction because too many have been ordered. I am also assuming that is BS as well.
Thank you again for your help!
It doesn't matter to me. I like those as well. Always good sellers. Negotiation with your dealer should be similar to all other Jeeps.I don't see many pricing discussions on Sports, and particularly a 2 door. With the fact I want a manual, I imagine this doesn't leave an amazing potential profit margin for a dealer order.
What's a reasonable % below invoice to attempt to get on a 2 door Sport, manual, with only anti-spin and A/C? Do dealers loathe customers attempting to order these types of cheap builds? That was the vibe I got from one salesman when I test drove a JL.
Have not. That's a whole different avenue that the traditional dealership model.

I figured if anything you may have had them delivered to your dealership. Luckily I joined the forum lucky enough to realize that their deal isn't that great and was able to have them price match a 4% under invoice offer.Have not.
